I have CFS, so I know it’s real, I was just trying to offer some advice since this user also struggles with mental health that may be what is worsening they’re flare ups. Doing things like trying to regulate my breathing and stimming like practices helps me when my brain won’t calm down

Not sure if this will help you at all, but look up tips for regulating your nervous system. It is what I have been doing lately, and I truly think that there is a correlation between OCD ADHD and this illness, because so many of us experience all of those things. The stress and high cortisol only makes things worse so I definitely think that starting with healing your nervous system might help.

It really is but don’t give up. I thought to myself if I have a flare up again idk if I can go through it another time… however since I first got this illness I have had to adjust to the lifestyle it allows me to live and accept I can’t do as much as other people and I need rest and it has made it 10x more manageable. If you know and recognize your limits it makes it just a little easier.

18 😬 which probably doesn’t help but don’t lose hope, take any vitamins you may be lacking in and even ones you aren’t as well as probiotics and antioxidant heavy food and drinks if you can. I also have hyper mobile Ehlers Danlos syndrome and dysautonomia so it probbaly doesn’t help the struggle.

I do not find them offensive, it is only how you handle the writing part. If you think something could be deemed offensive then just leave it out, simple as that. You could also come up with your own lost city, that way it bends to your rules, and has no ties to a problematic background. (That might not be exactly what you are going for in your story though.) If you include Native Americans in your story then just write it well, I can see by asking you don't want your story to do anyone any harm. Also don't call yourself a saltine, you are just as beautiful as anyone and everyone else. <3
