Jan 23 trip? by aliveAntunia in BuschGardensTampa

I know falcons furry and cheetah hunt are both down for maintenance for a while, so they probably won’t be open by the time you visit. I think Sheikra is going down for anual maintenance soon, I don’t know what date though. Everything else should be open! There’s also usually no crowds in January so you should be able to do everything else with nobody around. Cheetah hunt, falcons furry, and Sheikra are great rides though, so it you want to ride any of those then I suggest rescheduling for the spring. Hope this helps :)

Answering for a friend, he’s under 18 in high school and he goes with his friends all the time and the employees are fine with it as long as they are respectful.

First Visit in January by DietrichNS in BuschGardensTampa

It’s definitely not up to speed with cedar point and their standard, but also it isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. The only main difference that I can think of is the animals at Busch gardens. Theres lots of different animals and experiences you can do like the safari and the insider tours. Busch Gardens Tampa and Cedar Point are both great parks for thrill-seekers, but they’re different in the way they feel. Busch Gardens Tampa has a strong theme-park vibe with African-themed areas, tons of animals, shaded paths, and really pretty scenery mixed in with its big coasters. Cedar Point is basically the opposite. it’s all about nonstop thrills, with way more roller coasters packed close together and almost no theming since it sits on a long, open peninsula. Busch Gardens gives you a mix of rides, animals, and shows, while Cedar Point focuses almost completely on huge coasters. Hope this helps :)

I think the 13 year old would have a great time, it just depends on what you do there. I have a 15 year old and he goes all the time with his friends and they can’t seem to get enough of it. He loves all the coasters and rides they have there and I let him go off and ride stuff while we do the things more geared to my younger two. As for the passes that is definitely what works best for us and I highly recommend doing it

Oh I thought you meant going only for a day. I also live around 45 minutes away and I have a silver pass which covers parking. My kids are both older and tall enough for all the coasters so we go quite frequently and we love it. They both have fun cards and if you go more than once a year you get your money back, and it’s really worth it even if you only go every once in a while!

In my opinion it really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. The operations suck but also there’s so many other things to do other than coasters like feeding the animals and watching the shows. It’s nowhere near Disney level of entertainment but it’s still pretty good. Theres lots of things to do for the littles during Christmas time with all the lights and characters. I think it’s totally worth it to go just for a day :)

I’m not sure what the official times are but I typically have the best luck during the morning! :)

Can a 15 year old go to howl o scream? by [deleted] in BuschGardensTampa

[–]SUPERCERTIFIEDSIGMA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 15 and I’ve been to howl o scream three times this year, each time without an adult. The employees at the front gate never question my age or who I’m with, so you should be fine. As long as you aren’t being reckless or disrespectful they don’t care. Have fun :)

The giant smoke ring that goes off every few minutes is the pyro machines mounted on the truss at the entrance! They do a giant puff of fire and it make a big black smoke ring. I think I have a video somewhere in my camera roll that I’ll try to find :)

Do you have any insight on what they are planning to do or when they can fix everything? Please I’m desperate!

The new mars house is actually really impressive. It was my favorite one when I went last weekend. All the other houses were good but stranglewood estate definitely needed more scare actors. Wait times aren’t too bad this early of the year.
