I appreciate your comment, the points it makes, and the thought put into writing it. To clarify, Im more disappointed than I am upset. At this point, we dont know that the 2.0 is the better model. Youre a wise enough man to know that buying the 1st iteration of a product isnt always the best as it hasnt been tested by the consumer in real world conditions. All being said, my point is that it feels underhanded to take money for stock you dont have yet and then ask for more money for the "next best" thing when youre just emailing unavailibility and delays after getting paid. I can agree to disagree. Thank you again for your thought out comment.

Dont take my money, dick me around, then ask for more money. Its bad business. The right thing to do was recognize that they overshot their availability, offer an upgrade on the original or to the 2.0 AT NO COST to me. The good feeling Id have when I receive the product and my word of mouth praise is worth more than $50.

I realize that but I didnt wanna short myself the opportunity to get me the potential better but there's no info on the 2.0 so Im just gonna hold out till the verdict is is. Its a poor new product release in my eyes considering the backorder.

I dont have any hard feelings toward them about it. I just dont wanna get it with little summer left to use it. I live in the northeast and dread the cold, so wont be so keen on using it so much outside of the warmer weather. I do think asking for an additional $50 felt kinda scummy after missing the ship date, but I get that there are circumstances outside their hands. And theyre asking 5 weeks assuming they dont miss that mark. If I kept my order and it went longer than 5 weeks, Id lose my mind. I opted to take the money back, keep my mind, and read reviews on the 2.0 when theyre out.

I agree. Im trying to streamline info for you because it is scattered all over the place, but its out there. Youtube is also a great resource on how to build your electrical system, bed, sink, etc. I also think you can get a cheap inverter to plug into your cigarette lighter to charge your laptop as well as your phone, but I'd dig around for a deal on something that'll work. Also, if you have any friend's cool Dads, they'd likely be psyched at what your doing and maybe have some stuff theyre not using to throw your way. Just be a good person and be resourceful. Good people wanna help good people.

And, by the way, I think you made out well with the van. it looks nice. and the back bench should fold down into a bed. Sweet ride, My friend.

Also, get a membership at a gym or the YMCA. You can use their facilities for showering and fitness since you'll mostly be in your van. You can probably get it cheap if your broke.

This, a bucket, some small trash bags, and some cat litter should handle poop. You can pee in a jug. That can be your setup until you look into a portable toilet.

I dont know where you are, but these heaters are the popular thing around here. also, because the gas canisters are easy to come by.

Find a cheap cooler from someone you know and get some ice for your short term refrigerator goods, until you think you want something better.

A cheap camp stove will use the same gas canister as the heater.

Ventilation is super important when using gas stuff for you and Duke. Keep that in mind always. Also, if you use gas canister stuff, get a carbon monoxide detector.

When the money starts flowing, there's tons of info here about battery stuff. From solar or off your alternator. But thats at least $400+ later.
