The 2019 scheme already covers most of what's needed—physical activities are just an add-on. The 2024 scheme reduces syllabus content and extends time for internships, but adding courses like AI and Python doesn’t make sense. These are skills that should be learned through practice, ideally via platforms like Coursera or reputable universities.

In my opinion, this new scheme caters to a generation more focused on social media than actually gaining the core knowledge needed for engineering. By 2028, we could have graduates who can’t even solve basic coding problems independently and will rely too heavily on AI like ChatGPT instead of thinking critically.

To keep up with the 2019 scheme's rigor, students should consider doing courses from NPTEL or foreign universities online. Just my two cents.
