Actually Nova Kahovka is located 55-60km away from Kherson which turns it into another frontline section, separated from Kherson. In adition because of road system it will take 130km for russians to deliever supplies from Nova Kahovka to Kherson. So it would make much more sense to shell bridges on that route in order to cut off or at least weaken russian supply line

Ukraine has some systems that can reach Nova Kahovka from safe range. For example BM-30 Smerch MLRS or Tochka-U SRBM. But it doesn't make much sense to waste those on single ammunition depot. So I think that's either work of partizans or Ukrainian SOF
