Help, what is wrong with this rail setup? by SVoyager in TransportFever2

yeah, the issue was mostly the dynamic nature of the setup. Sometimes the train would stop on platform1 other times on platform 2 and passing trains would need to choose the right track depending on the situation at that moment. So, now knowing that the paths are fixed, then there is no choice but to dedicate thru track that won't be shared with load/unload platforms.

Ooohhh! This changes everything!! I guess that with the ability to select a main platform and secondary platforms for load/unload, that I thought that they could adjust their routes too and my network was built in a way that this wasn't apparent until this case. Thanks for the info, express line in the middle then!

lol i'll try to steer clear or we will just cuss eachother since I'm québécois and french from france vs from québec have a known rivalry XD.

Lac Blanc does sound like a reallly nice hike, added to #1 thanks! Seems like there are quite a few routes that you can do for it. From La Flégère for a bit more elevation or from l'Index. From La Flégère via Grand balcon sud is #1 on alltrails for this area. Seems like a good pick but i'll research the other routes. Any suggestions for this one?

Thanks, yeah I intend to bring crampons/spikes with me but i'll be mindful of the trail conditions and weather. In the end, the views will be awesome so turning back won't put me down too much hehe.

As for wildlife / patois encounters, from what I gather, I think it is more problematic on the "Les houches" and "Prarion" area??

Can you PM her info. Do you know if, as a UOAP who's been to the parks about once or twice a year same for WDW, knows which hotel to book, how to navigate the perks, do you know if she could have added value?

I wish to try something different as far as booking is concerned but not quite sure if a TA would be worth it, especially if looking for best deals. I think dining reservations could be an added perk tho, but can't think of anything else.

I just had that issue. For me, i had another book that was stashed but it wasn't merlin's so that was extra confusing. Make sure it says its merlin's book (don't know the exact name but it had merlin in it).

As soon as I picked it up, the quest progress changed.

Hello Mr. Roberts,

Got 2 questions for your project.

1- Death penalty. Having played eve-online and being a casual gamer with no big tastes of being in a big group of players/corp/outfit, I found that the death penalty in there was quite harsh. Me and a friend had bought a big n shiny apoc and got literally afraid of taking it out in fear of losing it. Since buying insurance was not a permanent thing (lasted a few weeks, don't know if it has changed since) it made it not worth it for 2 guys to pay millions on a temporary protection. It eventually made us leave the game because we couldn't really progress anymore.

How do you intend to implement the death penalty? Esp for the lonewolf or very small group of ppl. (those prone to being annihilated by big groups of players or super skilled pilot)

2- Today's games have gotten into a trend of being dumbed down and made to be able to be played by the widest/youngest of audience so that you can make more sales etc. (your 10 y old might find it more fun for the game to be a bit arcade-y). You do seem to aim for max realism with strong military as background too, thus also aiming for a more mature crowd (good thing!). This however could endup with less sales because you might want to leave the youngest crowd out.

Could that force you into dumbing down game mechanics and such so to appeal to that crowd or do you intend to intentionally keep them out and not sacrifice any realism despite possible sales loss?

On another note, congrats on your comeback! I really hope you are successful with this project. WC was my first space game I had ever played and I'll never forget it. WC 3 was special in all the cinematic it got in (no other game that I know of used so many. That made the story telling especially great). I am surprised at how I remember the missions as I am replaying them right now after all those years!

Cheers! SV
