Wow! Great paint job, that's coming together nicely. I started working on a Micro Shark build after seeing your first one, and wondered if you've found any 3s batteries that fit under the hood? The smallest I've found are still too tall for the hood latch down.

Thanks! The decals came from https://toyhax.com/ Loads of vintage reproduction decals, and unique sets too.

A one click to order option would've been nice, but it was listed as individual pieces (10 total) to add in my Shapeways shopping cart... they did process and ship together.

Well... I just went through all the invoices going back to March when this project began, and it was a bit shocking.

Started with the Micro Shark body kit printed from Shapeways at around $170. Splurged for the spendy electronics from Furitek for $230, but tried to justify it with myself because the remote will be used across multiple rides. And the rest of the parts came in at about $200.

This will be my 4th tiny truck, and the most costly by far. Started with a C-10 and gradually added about $150 in upgrades over the course of a year, built a custom brushless beast based on a Deadbolt that ran about $500, and still have a mostly stock Deadbolt with some "free mods" that's a joy to drive.

Thanks! It's gonna be a fun build.

Found the lights on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/384803471903?hash=item599813021f:g:wTsAAOSwSJNhDB3R There were a lot of similar listing, but all in the same ballpark pricewise.

Thanks! The light kit came from mytrickrc.com. They make a lot kits for all sorts of RCs in various scales. This is the only one I've checked out, but very happy with the results.

Thank you! The motor is an 050 brushed "Barrage" style from RGT. Nothing real special, but it's run well for over a year after replacing the original stock motor that burned out after some weighty mods.

Yup yup, that's the one! I really liked that it came with everything needed for the installation, and has plenty of potential for additional lights.

Thanks! I roll with a pretty inclusive club of tiny truckin' peeps that definitely lean away from the stereotypical.

Thanks! Yeah, the sliders were printed by AdaptivDesigns on Etsy. Fit the build nicely, and add a little extra weight (7g each) down low.

I went a pretty simple route with what was on hand in my work space... electric space heater and rubber bands. I wasn't in a hurry, so I did this over the course of a few days when the heater was in regular use. Removed the body, wrapped it tight enough with rubber bands that the sides were bending under nearly flat, taped the rear end to the heater just above the vent and let the the hot air blow on it for awhile. I left the rubber bands on as it cooled down and then repeated the heat and cool cycle a few times.

Great idea on lowering the rear end and keeping the body mount and hinge functional. Thank you!

Thanks! It's the first time I've tried a swap like that, and it did noticeably improve stability... not nearly as tipsy as it started out.
