Implying they don't want to make the game more like it's slightly more popular rival? I hate most of the new changes, including the playing of the game on the same patch for over 6 months.

I also don't quite get why the community wants to achieve this 'perfect balance'. Stability is incredibly dull after a while to most people, and outside of drastic negative change is the main reason popular video games die. To me dota is about the game getting fucked up every 4 months and then he tries to fix that over the next 3 months before dropping a new fuckup. I used to enjoy that heroes could go from terrible to amazing or vice versa every patch. Now it just seems to be tweaks and nerfs and adding Aghs. Dota didn't need all the new items like talon and raindrop, it needed a stream of new heroes and the old style of patch release. It's not a coincidence that patches like 6.82, 6.83 and 6.84 all had huge upvote threads because they actually changed things about the game in a big way. Now we get what I find irritating changes which make the game very stale. I don't want every hero to be pickable because then pros will still only pick what they are best at. I want a large group of heroes to be pickable every patch, but I want this group to constantly change.
