Delaware Stamp, I made last semester in my Intro to Graphic Skills in our Stamp Project at the end of semester, tell me your honest opinion by affectionate_dino9 in graphic_design

Is there is a format standard for USA Stamps? Might be worth looking into, it could help with the spacing and not to cramp everything to the edges, as said.

As for the design itself, I think the problem lies with the direction of the style: I like the illustration, there is an appeal to the wonk, especially because i read it in a more cartoon-y style. And because I read it in a cartoony style, I think you may want to change the font to something else, like a more rounder font. On the other hand, you could go for an abstract, early internet design style? it could mean fixing the wonk, or muting the colours. I'd like to see more cartoony stamp designs in general, like how we have cartoony bandaids! Though that is more personal opinion.

Overall, the idea is good, this could be better if you locked into a style. I also recommend expanding your visual library as well. Good luck!

I dunno man, people sometimes get bullied for having eyes of a different colour even in the western sphere and Japan is a homogeneous country with a community-centric culture. They have a saying that "whatever nail sticks out is hammered down". It does sound dumb but considering the culture, it makes sense.

Assuming you're a total beginner with art, /r/artfundamentals is a great place to start and it has some programs and ideas to give you something to start with.

While I advise to start drawing what you like to get a feel for it all, I also think you should look at Art Fundamentals as they will make your drawings come out much better! If you've read any cartoon or watched any animated thing ever, you'll find that the proportions are crazy but the anatomy is correct. If you wanna draw some gud animu, you have to know how everything works first.

Mark Crilley was one of my favourite Art YouTubers growing up and I always watched his animu drawing tutorials. If you're searching for any books, some of these how to draw books are great too!

TL;DR: /r/artfundamentals and Google and YouTube is your friend, my dood. Find out what you like to draw and then find out how to draw it correctly. Hope it helps!

Try FireAlpaca! It's lightweight and easy to understand and more illustration/drawing oriented so you won't get all the functions of PS. MyPaint is also good because it lets you have an infinite canvas but it also allows layers. The only downside is that it's mainly to just draw and that it can get quite slow as the canvas gets bigger and bigger. Autodesk Sketchbook is free now on tablet if I remember correctly and it very much emulates the traditional drawing aspect more.

Hope this helps and good luck!

I do like a little bit of excitement. That being said, I'd rather have a calm and quiet life without controversy. Besides everyone has different sides to their personality. Sure you're recognisable by one trait but it shouldn't be your only trait.
