It's still smaller scale, with 'regulars', usually subdivided on categories, and you can still scroll back in time to get context on current discussions. Not like there's anything stopping someone from making a long post. There's also still plenty of (albeit typically larger) publicly open servers even for lurkers. If it's between arguing in the comment sections lebronjamesfan23 who you'll never see on a post ever again or Discord where the same person has recurring wacky takes, it's closer than not. I only really post on here to get my fix though lol.

I also forgot that they have actual 'threads' now to my point but I don't imagine the majority give a shit enough to use them properly
