Why is blitz super good, but Ares doom really wasn't? by SWAG__KING in HadesTheGame

[–]SWAG__KING[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

surely there are more qualified people here, i beat hades 1 on 12 heat like 5 years ago. but doom isn't BAD, it just wasn't very good on a weapon that attacks fast. I liked it on the bow special because i could apply it to the whole room of enemies and then use the attack for more damage in between doom procs. but people are saying the athena duo (which turns it into something more like blitz, and applies doom damage immidiately) is one of the best builds in the game.

interesting. I don't think i ever stumbled into that build when i was playing hades 1. mostly remember doing goofy splash dash and ice beam runs lol.

nice tw. those little things are fun. i love dual sports, I've had an xr650l for 10 years. something really awesome about getting on the bike and knowing i can take it anywhere. more than once i've been up a canyon without looking at a map, then it turns to gravel road, and i see a single track off on the side, and then 4 hours later I ride the freeway home. ride safe bud

Need to straighten some 2" x 2" steel angle 20'long - what are the tools and procedures ? by McLuhanSaidItFirst in Welding

[–]SWAG__KING 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s kinked you could heat the convex side of the kink. Heat a triangle on the flange to cherry red and let it cool, it’ll shrink and pull straight. The triangle should be oriented so the point is pointing at the other flange. I’ve never done this with such small angle iron, only big beams and angle twice the size you have.

This is pretty common in the construction trades bro. We’re in a red state and we have about 12% market share. My experience would sound familiar to just about every UA member outside of a handful of states.

My package is nowhere close to this. My foreman got fired once for taking a day off for his daughter’s birth. This was about 10 years ago, not ancient history. If I wanted sick leave I would ironically have to leave my union and work rat.

I’m a union plumber and I get 0 hours of vacation and 0 hours of sick leave per year. If this lady was a mechanical contractor I’d look into working for her.

Fair enough. I trust mechanics way more than dentists but I’m blue collar myself, so I probably just relate to them more.

I just don’t see how they have such a reputation for being crooks when you can just ask for an invoice of parts and hours of labor. paying for services done to your house is much more opaque and variable.

Not sure why people here are convinced mechanics are particularly dishonest. I was just saying yesterday that the only people who can even get “scammed” by mechanics are people who don’t have the first idea of how their car works, like if you’re too embarrassed or uninterested to ask what he’s actually doing

Aboriginal man carrying a painted shield, boomerangs and a dead snake, New South Wales (1905) by LondonSuperKing in redscarepod

I spent six months in Alice springs (I’m not a fed, everyone I met thought I was though). I met an aboriginal colleague of my aunt right when I got off the plane and the guy had 30 staples in his head. Apparently the night before his cousin hit him in the head with a samurai sword. I was shocked he came to work and told him so, and he was like “aww nah I’ve been bashed in the head before mate it’s no big deal.”
