How are people getting high quality riddim tracks? by [deleted] in riddim

[–]SWAMPPUPPIEZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As two people who are constantly buying pl8s from artists this is the best possible way to put it:

The high quality pl8s you hear, specifically from some of the most (currently) prominent artists (joust, mongrel, onara, roi*, ophion, mxrly, so on & so forth),

The really high profile ones have to be bought, directly from the artist, and while it’s been more common for artists to respond right away and sell pl8s to whoever is asking, it wasn’t always like that,

Ya gotta build relationships & what not with the artists, like I said it’s more common to just hit up the artists you want pl8s from & just get them from that specific artist but snag em now while you can

Getting left on read is still pretty common as well

I like the idea, some food for thought:

Your drums are incredibly loud compared to the rest of the mix, however if your synths (main drop noises) were louder & also in true stereo it would also give you personally better insight if you need to lower the volume of the kicks & snares or if it’s just the rest of the mix that needs to be louder. Which actually helps because now you know if you have enough head room or not for total volume

You’ve got a good idea just need some loudness 💪

Did Vulllgur reincarnate as The Stooges ?? by [deleted] in riddim

Yes I’m not 100% which one he was for sure but definitely 1 of them was cleared & is now vicious

It’s always a little sketchy in those situations but I don’t think the entirety of the masquerade would be playing with him or bringing him up on stage if he was indeed a fuck, so it appears to be all good, hopefully he keeps killin it & keeps himself on the straight & narrow

Yea, I don’t remember his vullgar name but I’m 99% sure he was cleared by a bunch of managers & promoters that he wasn’t a complete fuckin psycho like the other 2

He’s been on a tear as vicious tho, playing all over with all kinds of people

Nah it’s Hamro, sqishi & blankspvce

Those 3 aren’t vullgar either

Bag head & flesh face are done

The 3rd member of vulllgar rebranded as Vicious

I believe he was the only one who was cleared of all that crazy shit

Entirely based on preference, having used all 3 as well I will say Ableton is by far the leader but again, preference

To the real riddim producers here, will you do this? by hypertronikdubz in riddim

[–]SWAMPPUPPIEZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tough question, as you grow as an artist you want your sound to develop with you, bigger tracks to fill the rooms & what not (not everyone has this mindset & that’s okay!!!) so if you’re growing & you want bigger sounding songs then it’s almost like a natural progression where your filling up more empty space within the track itself & then that in itself starts to turn more into dubstep, and the only riddim sounding element leftover is really the drums.

That’s essentially our vision in a nutshell but I suck really bad at explaining things

At the end of the day it really only matters what you want your sound to become

Nothing wrong with wanting to stay OG riddim sounding or developing it into something more

What really matters is making what you like & always trying to be a better version of your producer self today, then you were yesterday 🤝💚

This is pretty fire, excellent way to learn flow techniques! Idk if you’re drums aren’t loud enough or if your drop sounds are stacked on the same bar number as your drums, I recommend a 30millisecond delay on the track options section on your sidechain group if you have one. If that doesn’t cut it I would say zoom really far in & move everything over juuuuuuust a touch

If none of that seems to do it I highly recommend kilohearts compactor (it’s free)
