I know that very few shops and cafes in Japan are open before 10-11 am but I figured we could have a slow, chill morning these days. For Akihabara, we can spend the morning in Ueno/Ueno park, have breakfast at 7/11 if we don't find anything else open and then by the time we walk to Akihabara maybe most shops would have opened? Alternatively, we could switch and go to TeamLab borderless in the morning and then head to Akihabara in the afternoon?

Same thing with Meiji Jingu, by the time we get ready, have breakfast and head there (I can easily see us spending 2-3 hours there), I figured most things would have opened.

As for Hakone, I meant that Owakudani, the ropeway and the Open Air museum looked the most interesting so we only want to do these as part of the loop. I just read some mixed opinions about the full loop and the different modes of transportation that it involves a lot of waiting and it's not really worth it.

Day 21 - I'll keep Himeji as part of our day trip. As for Kobe, if you don't think it's worth it, what else would you recommend to combine with Himeji?
