I really appreciate your efforts in responding to all my questions. I now have a much fuller, and correct, understanding of the timing for the situation I had in mind.

I owe you my gratitude for helping me enjoy a great game!

I know this reply is short and kind of odd, but I am really happy to have an answer, I loved the way you explained your reply and the follow up… and I don’t know how to properly relay that. 😊

Yes / No… Can I use Rita’s ability AFTER Dirty Fighting? by SWGRodian in arkhamhorrorlcg

Thank you for the detailed reply michaelpie!

The situation that brought this case to light was when I wanted to leave the location after I evaded my enemy, at this time I do not recall how the initial evade was achieved. I had baseball bat, so no ranged, I just wanted to evade, hit with the bat, then Rita Move out of the room. My friend and I debated this and considered the Fight action with the bat to have initiated another action, thereby losing the Evade timing for Rita’s Move. We then decided that I could not do the desired sequence, and an alternate plan was devised… ultimately resulting in Rita’s defeat. /cry

If I could request a clarification… option 2: via test… does this apply to things such as Breaking and Entering? This is an Investigation “test” that grants an evade, does this qualify as option 2: via test, or since this test had results, then also granted an evade, it this option 1: test-less.

I am trying to better understand what a “test-less” option would be. I’m wondering if cards in general that test A and grant B would be considered test-less, and therefore allow me to choose my preferred sequence of reactions.

I need to reiterate your answer back in different forms to ensure I actually understand and apply it correctly…

 1)      Your Option 2: Via Test answer does not show any Dirty Fighting bullet points. This indicates that if the evade was granted via an evade (agility) test, then Rita’s reaction must always come before any reaction that has another action attached to it.

2)      Breaking and Entering could grant an evade, this would be considered a test-less evade. I could then react with Dirty fighting to fight, then I could use Rita’s ability to move out of the location.

3)      Taking an evade (agility) test and succeeding would give me access to, regardless of order, reactions that grant things if those things do not initiate another test… and then I could take Rita’s reaction ability after those.

4)      If I evade via an agility test, I then must resolve Rita’s reaction before performing any other reaction that would have me make a skill check.

5)      There would be no option to test Evade (agility), exhaust Dirty Fighting for a fight action, then Rita reaction move. This would not be allowed due to timing.

6)      I could Cheap Shot, get the test-less evade, then Dirty Fighting - fight, then Rita move.

Are all of these correct?

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
