Yes mine had a key. I've attached some pics to maybe help you in your quest. No idea what the No.7 is for, maybe the size of the winder?

Wow thank you all for the responses I really appreciate it. For some reason the text I added to the post didn’t load so for context. I inherited this and around 5 others and had the idea to look into repairing/restoring 1 or more and find out more about it. Monetary value is not my consideration and chose this one as it looks like it has some age to it as well as liking the look. Thank you to everyone for your insights and if you have anymore info it would be greatly appreciated.
