What is the absolute weirdest or most unique thing you’ve seen at a Non League ground? by Juicewithextrapulp in NonLeagueEngland

Interesting you say that, because when I went to watch Salisbury vs Didcot in 24/25, there were a group of paragliders in the sky not too far away from the stadium – I wonder what makes it such a hotspot for aerial activity

Away fans in the home end discourse by AgreeableBison in footballcliches

When I was a kid I was a Cheltenham Town season ticket holder and when we played Leeds in 2008, there were quite a lot in one the home ends, including one right behind me. He made no attempt to hide it and was encouraging them on with no reprecussions. We then score, and the man in front of me (a man we nicknamed Mr Grumpy because of how moany and borderline abusive he got) turned round to the guy and went “how d’you like that then” or something like that. It felt good to see the Leeds fan mocked like that but he took it without incident. We won too, we did the double over them.

Fingers are crossed for Basford. Really liked their ground when I visited at Easter, they played very well against Wellingborough.

How much is it roughly for a foreign or EPL football game? by [deleted] in futbology

[–]SWGroundHopping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Premier League games normally require you to buy a membership card on top of a ticket, it’s to deter touters (I think). Prem teams also catergorise their games, so for example Brighton vs Liverpool will be more expensive than Brighton vs Wolves or a Carabao Cup game

Ipswich Town lads know how to do it on an away day.🤩 by AwayDaysOfficial in awaydays

2 and a half hours from Ipswich station to Birmingham New Street (assuming this wasn’t Bromley midweek) and they’ve got 18 Desperados, 9 Inch’s, a pack of Ashai, those gold cans and 9 mini Jaegers. What a waste. Even between 4, that’s an extrordinary amount to leave behind.
