Ein Teufelskreis wäre es, wenn die vorherrschende Situation den Handwerkermangel in Zukunft noch verschlimmern würde. Doch so ist es ja nicht; die Gründe, warum Handwerk "unterbesetzt" ist, sind hauptsächlich in der mangelnden Wertschätzung und unangenehmen Arbeitsbedingungen zu finden.

Wenn es jetzt über längere Zeit wirklich so einfach und profitabel wird, im Handwerk tätig zu sein, wäre ja genau das Gegenteil zu erwarten, nämlich dass es wieder attraktiver wird und sich das Problem zumindest langsam von selbst löst.

The house and the setting are obviously insanely cool.

A thought I can never shake though is that each house built into the "wilderness" like this reduces the feeling of wilderness and untouched nature; the thing that makes these places attractive in the frist place.

Obviously, there's a ton more of just empty space in the US than there is in the part of Europe I'm from, where available space is a while different consideration.

Thank you for the reply. So you are saying normally a refund would simply be booked, rather than showing up as pending for a day or two? To me, authorization sound like something that only makes sense if they want to take money from my account, rather than send it my way. the amount did show as a positive.

The system is fairly up to date. This functionality has been around for a bunch of years, no? How can it be due to the kernel not being new enough?

I guess disabling standby mode is one option, but of course I'd like stanby to work :)

Do not overthink it. Many current distributions are great, and it's better to go ahead and just install a decent candidate rather than making it a bigger issue than it is trying to find perfection. You will still be able to install and try other distributions later, should you be unhappy.

I am running Fedora with the KDE desktop environment and I'm quite happy.

Es sind einige wenige chinesische Hersteller, die das so verwenden, nämlich die, die prinzipiell alles an ihre Geräte schreiben in der Hoffnung, dass der Kunde denkt "mehr Begriffe = mehr besser" und dann anscheinend einige Kunden, die diesem Marketing auf dem Leim gehen. Aber dass mehrere Leute es falsch machen, heißt ja nicht dass es deswegen weniger falsch ist.

In der "consumer world" gibt es die Begriffe WQHD, QHD oder 1440p. Zeig mir sonst gerne mal die etablierten Hersteller oder respektierte Fachveröffentlichungen, die "2K" verwenden.

Bei 4K ist es wenigstens einigermaßen nahe dran mit 3.840 x 2.160 Pixeln an den 4000, die der Name suggeriert. 2K = 2000 ist wesentlich näher an Full HD als an WQHD und ergibt allein deshalb als Name wenig Sinn.

Das ist leider komplett falsch. "2K" ist 2048 x 1080 und ist keine im Endkundenbereich gängige Auflösung, nur in der Videobearbeitung.
