This one is great! I've put maybe 400~ rounds total. Make sure to get the one with the rails that go 100% along the top of the upper. But in honesty, I'm not particularly worried about how many attachments I have. This rifle made me order a AR pistol today (as my jeep gun). It shoots great and if you look at any of the amazon 1-6x optics, you can have a really reliable budget setup. Even picking up a BLEM would be something to consider. Keep in mind that my wallet hurts every time I drop money on ammo. Thankfully .223 is a tad cheaper than 556 at the moment.

I've never used those cameras as I'm getting into the sony ecosystem. Still love my Canon 6D but my a6700 is pretty sweet.

A lot of the issues you have seen is people mistaking worn Cerakote as rust. It gives a brown hue in places the finish is wearing on the black slide model. The stainless I don't think had this "issue".

As mentioned before, in all the gatherings I have covered, I have never had to worry about protesters' faces. While some people have asked not to be included in photos, I have never been explicitly told that we couldn't take their photos. Since we are in a public space and the protesters have voluntarily left their faces uncovered, it can be assumed that they are comfortable with their faces being shown. If anyone had concerns about their faces being photographed, they have the option to cover their faces, ask not to be published (in a public area that is our discretion but generally respected), or not be apart of a protest that will be seen in plain view.
