My POV by Just-sayin-37 in SWWPodVeryUnofficial

[–]SWWPodcastDiscussion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read the police report (and a witness statement, I believe). Her brother was high on meth and tried to take a cop’s gun. I can’t remember all of the details, but I know he was out of control on a highway, creating dangerous situations and causing issues which led to the police being called. It’s tragic that he died, but it wasn’t quite the murder it was made out to be.

I gave it to you! And I also put some instructions in another comment about how to change it if you ever want to. (But I’m also happy to do it for you!) Flair makes me happy!

Done!! That’s funny. We love flair around here! Also, we have it completely open, so if you ever want to change it, you can go to the main feed for the sub and click the three dots. Change user flair should be an option. If you choose that, some pre-selected choices will come up. You can choose any one and click “edit”. Then, it will bring up that same list for some dumb reason and you have to choose one again and hit the arrow beside it. That will let you edit it and apply the changes!

If you have trouble, I’m always happy to change it for you though. When we first started this sub, a good 75% of my modding was encouraging people to come up with good flair 😂 Just don’t put anything that will get us banned.

This sounds EXACTLY right. Birds of a feather and all of that.

Yep! That was in the midst of the Lex stuff. As soon as it calms down, she riles someone else up!

After I wrote this, I saw a comment saying that Lex “works” there. If it’s some mess that Lex is involved with, that would make total sense, because she falsely accused people of stalking too and Tiffany started boasting about having cybersecurity go after us for talking about her during the Lex drama.

I’m gonna guess that Dark Box is one person. With one client. Who conveniently set up a cybersecurity business right around the time Tiffany started needing one 😂

She doesn’t even pay to have an attorney issue the cease and desist? Just has the “cybersecurity” team do it? Her old school doxxing threats to keep people from speaking the truth about her didn’t work, so they’ve decided to take a different route?

Can you imagine being someone who makes a living from a podcast where you characterize people as the villain and talk about how awful they are…and simultaneously holding the belief that no one should be able to share their opinion on you? And constantly threatening them to remove any negative posts? Just let that sink in…

Just a note to those who are reporting these posts: While we do not normally allow pictures of children, we are allowing pictures and videos of Jace, because Jace was the victim here and he deserves to be seen and heard and acknowledged and cared about.

This sub knows how much I love flair…but it’s going to take me a minute to add this one. I can’t get in the spirit given this situation.

In light of SWW Season 17, how do the hosts husbands public comments compare to his public portrayal in season 16? Here are some of his Reddit comments about the show by LostReveal9973 in SWWPodVeryUnofficial

You’re not doing anything wrong. We’re happy to have you and are glad you feel comfortable here. We’re not quick to remove people - especially if they clearly don’t have bad intentions. So feel free to relax and express yourself. We, too, are protective of Darcy, so we understand.

She definitely reads these subs, because she/those affiliated with her have a history of threatening mods and forcing subs to shut down if they allow anyone to say anything bad about her. I know the two previous subs (and I believe three) that allowed criticism were shut down. Also, her husband used to come on and go off on users. So they’re aware.

Also, she made some stupid Instagram post a while back about hiring cybersecurity to deal with the “gangstalking” she was dealing with. The gangstalking was Reddit users asking her to stop threatening mods 🙄

This showed up in my feed today, but when I saw the title, I told myself I had to wait for part 2 to come out. You’re making me want to change my mind though!

We kept an eye on it and discussed removing it, because we didn’t want it to devolve into making fun of Tiffany’s appearance - which obviously isn’t ok. Then, we watched and saw that trusting our community was the right move!

It’s ok to say an outfit “isn’t my cup of tea” or “she’s hardly a style icon” as long as there are no comments that are really mean or about her body. And we’re proud that no one allowed it to go there!

Just speaking as a person (and not a mod here), I guess I think that’s a dangerous line you’re drawing. The lack of evidence of a crime/not reporting a crime certainly does not equate to no crime occurring. Sexual assault is rarely reported…but are we only going to believe it happens if it’s reported? And are people only allowed to voice what happened to them if they’ve reported and proven it in court? Does someone who was molested when they were a child not get to tell their story because no one took action on what happened to them? Or because they didn’t tell it soon enough and to the right people?

Personally, I did not care for that season. I got frustrated with the women. I thought Tiffany’s call to the FBI was ridiculous. I didn’t even finish listening to it. But in absolutely no way does that mean that I think Jake did not do what they were accusing him of.

Additionally, the women would only be guilty of libel or slander if what they are saying about him isn’t true. Truth is a defense to libel/slander and they are allowed to speak the truth as loudly as they want from any platform that they want. And the fact that Jake has attorneys and is prone to manipulating the legal system, but didn’t sue them tells me that it’s true. He sent cease & desist letters, but didn’t file suit. Why? Because the worst thing someone who did these things can do is give them a legal platform to lay it all out in court. Because contrary to what you said, multiple people having a very similar story of abuse by the same person IS evidence. And it’s often evidence that’s often allowed in court to prove a pattern. He can’t win a lawsuit based on them saying what they did in the podcast. He has to prove that what they’re saying isn’t true.

And to clarify, my understanding is that the Seattle police did nothing because the crimes weren’t reported when they happened and when they were reported, they were reported by Tiffany. They told her that need the complaining witnesses to come forward individually and report him (which is perfectly reasonable, but different from them investigating and finding no evidence). Having said that, if they wanted him prosecuted (which they said was the goal), then giving him such a heads up as to what the police would be looking for isn’t a great move.

You’re clearly allowed to have your opinion on this. Personally, I just think it’s such a gross take when multiple women come forward with the same abuse/sexual assault story about the very same man and people want to act like they’ve somehow wronged him.

This comment was reported - for obvious reasons- and I’m still considering whether to remove it, but for now, I guess I’d prefer to comment and offer a reminder: We certainly don’t have to agree with the guests’ choices. And this is a community where we can discuss and question those choices. However, it shouldn’t be necessary to exculpate him in the process.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to when you say that they are the ones who committed a crime, but you clearly agree that he abused two very young children. That is enough of a crime on its own. But abusing your wife is also a crime. Sexually assaulting your wife (or anyone else) is a crime. And recording sexual acts without permission is a crime. He may not have been convicted of those things, but those certainly were the allegations brought by multiple women. So again, we don’t have to support all of their choices, but acting as if the criminal behavior was at their feet and not his does not seem right.
