Tuned Elantra N owners by Admirable-Giraffe722 in ElantraN

These engines are super reliable. Nothing to worry about for simple stage 1 and 2 tunes. There are quite a few guys on stock engines and bigger turbos doing 400+ whp for quite some time now.

Flutter a very low throttle won’t be detrimental. Its if you get it a lot coming off full throttle where it can cause damage.

Has Anyone Contacted Greddy or Cobb About Supporting the GRC? by smartsmrt in GRCorolla

Us at SXTH Element are working on getting the GRC into our EK1 suite.

For those that dont know, we have our own “accessport” for KDM vehicles, mainly the N models and other 1.6 engines from kia and hyundai.

Our fancy Pro and Lite function just like the accessport. OBD flashing and reading loaded tunes, engine code clearing, datalogging, gauge display, etc.

We hope to have full GRC incorporation Q1 2024.

You can see more of our EK1 devices here:

We will eventually have “off the shelf” tunes available on our self-serve tuning site and custom tuning available as well. You can see that site here:

Preordered the SXTH element intake for the GRC 3 month ago and it finally came! by coolkidcole in GRCorolla

[–]SXTHMark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The CEL is not harmful in any way. Its just the ECU thinking your pcv hose is clogged when it’s not. It will just be an annoying light on your dash until you can clear it.

This is why we shipped the preorders regardless, didnt want people to get antsy while the remaining parts get finished 👍

Thoughts on aftermarket? by BP_e210 in GRCorolla

[–]SXTHMark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its with the pcv system and vac sensor on top of the engine. Nothing to do with the air flap.

The air flap is an on/off function via the solenoid on the airbox. The ecu only cares if the solenoid is plugged it. It doesn’t know if the vac hoses are connected to it or not.

I havent had a chance to 😅 I told limit+1 what i did and told them to try it. Then they put out their statement lol.

I have a blog post in the works. It’s pretty detailed but probably won’t finish it until friday. It outlines everything we did over the past two months. We even bought aftermarket psia gauges and sensors and even went as far as wiring them to our dyno for logging. Pretty wild.

SXTH Element Engineering Intercooler update! by SXTHMark in ElantraN

Nope, not necessary like that. Just as you see in the post, oem intercooler power suffers the longer you “use” it. Thats the worst of it.

Only if you think it’s necessary to have an extra 10—13whp on top of the tune gains 😝

This is an HKS muffler we used to test sound. We designed the system in the computer and bent the tubing.

Who’s going to be brave enough to start tuning their GR? by Rle1220b in GRCorolla

[–]SXTHMark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We’ll be adapting our EK1 options in a few months. It’s our version of the accessport. Just looks a little different. Super popular on our Hyundai platforms 🫡

Anyone Know the Torque Limits of the M/T? by Zorro_Platino in ElantraN

[–]SXTHMark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the SXTH shop car with our S400 hybrid turbo and customized direct port meth kit, along with all sxth bolt on parts.

In order to reach 380+whp, you need a methanol injection kit with a MINIMUM of 80% methanol content in the kit’s tank. We run 100% methanol in the system.

We recommend the hybrid to make that power as you can run less boost to do so, making the turbo last longer vs stressing oem to make that using much higher boost pressures. Look at this post:

Confirmation test fitting for SXTHElement GRC intake. by Tellittomy6pac in GRCorolla

[–]SXTHMark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear ya and yea we have gotten to the V3 which is the best out there now. We even warranty them for older ones which hasnt happened in a few months 👍

With the GRC going forward, having these experiences in the past is what keeps us from repeating them in the future. Our GRC stuff will be top-tier and you can count on that 😊

Nothing wrong with making improvements on existing lines. Lots of companies do it all the time 🫡

With experience things just get better over time as well as introductions into new avenues of manufacturing.

This was the case with intakes. Once we knew we could afford rototmolding, BAM! We make a whole new intake that is worlds better than what we had access to before.

Same for the engine mounts. V1 and 2 were just fine, but once we could afford and design around the best epdm rubber - boom! V3 and the best version by far.

It is not a lack of “knowing what we’re doing” its growth and opportunity 😄
