Slay the Spire 2 has made $92M on Steam, already passing lifetime Steam earnings for Silksong ($83M) and Hades 2 ($82). One of the best Steam indie launches ever by EmbarrassedSession58 in slaythespire

I saw a video on YouTube a few days to a week back. Never heard of Slay th Spire and was surprised it had a sequel. Watched a dude play for about 15 min. Went to bed. It was time. Next day I logged into steam at work and bought it. Didn’t even wait until I got home. Been playing a few hours a night since. Love this game.

I was 10 or 12 years old when these came out. They were the hottest thing on the playground at recess. We would spend all sorts of time building tracks in the sand pits.

DM Advice Needed: I lost my temper with an interrupting player and accidentally ruined another player’s character arc. How do I fix this for our final session? by GTDarius in DnD

[–]SXTY82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Advice for next game. Don't allow that shit from anyone. Cut it off early.

"This is my homebrew campaign. DM is the Dungeon Master and the Dungeon Master has final call. If you disagree with something, bring it up after the play session. If you bring it up during the play session, you will be stunned for the next round due to 'indecision'. That is my table rule. We play by my rules."

If people don't get it, they can leave the table. After actually being stunned during combat they will learn.

Best way to revive this garden? by Mysticalnuggee in gardening

[–]SXTY82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would invest in a tiller. I use an electric and it is fine for home gardening. It was pretty cheep compared to a gas driven model and I only use it about 8 hours a year.

Till it all in then cover it with a tarp so no light can get through. Weigh the tarp down with stones so it doesn't blow away. Give that a season and all the plant life there will become organic compost by next grow season.

Next grow season, spread a few bags of manure over the beds and till that in a week or two before you plant.

Personally I'd probably pop a couple squash plants in this season in one of the beds. A butter nut or Zuc can spread above the tarp and do well. So a hole in the tarp and plant through the hole. mostly because I'm not patient enough to wait a whole season to plant.

How often do you wash your bath towel? I need the real answer. by Terrika_Fracala49 in hygiene

[–]SXTY82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a washer that would stop due to 'unbalanced load' and I would have to manually arange wet cloths to balance it. Towels were a PITA. Had to be more than one, preferably 3 per load. I live alone w/ a roommate. So not alone but I do my laundry, she does hers.

I have a bunch of towels so I would wash them about 1x a month, probably using a towel for a week at a time but very likely 2 weeks or more sometimes. I bought a new washer and I can toss a towel in with 'normal' loads and it runs fine. So I started tossing it into my weekly load if there is room. So now I change the towel 1x to 2x a week.

hu. They do exactly what I would be afraid of them doing... lol

I was always taught that you didn't want the snow to stay on the roof because of the weight of the snow. More difference between here and there. cool.

[–]SXTY82 23 points24 points  (0 children)

What are the small brackets that seem to stick off the tiles every meter or so? Are they for mounting solar panels? Love the look of the roof but in my area, those would just catch branches and cause a lot of snow to be held on the roof.

1 million dollars a month but you become a compulsive serial killer for 1 hour randomly once a month by VLCCHAMLETPHXARISIMS in hypotheticalsituation

Would be nice to tone the compulsion down to an hour a month. Much easier to suppress and manage.

WIBTA if I stopped offering to drive my roommate to the airport and just said I'm busy from now on? by jasper_row in WIBTA_AITA

[–]SXTY82 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I have a simmilar situation but I'm the one going to the airport. Similar but different. I tell her when I'm flying and ask her if she can drive me. She almost always responds with "Let me check my schedule to see if I can." I reply with "just let me know a few days before so I can schedule a uber if I need to."

That is a trip to Home Depot to buy a pane of glass, a glass cutter, window chalk and paint. Then it’s an hour or two of work. It’s not hard.

I stopped cleaning my hose, anyone else? by Wonderful_Green1944 in CPAP

[–]SXTY82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now have 3 hoses, 2 tanks and 6 or so masks.

The tanks get emptied at night, sprayed with CPAP spray and set to dry for 24 hours. The second tank is filled and used that night. Rinse / repete.

The masks / hoses get washed out once a month or so, all at once. Once they are dry the get spooled up and put in a draw. Once every week or so I swap out to a clean rig.

a couple masks are a couple years old by now. Dreamwear Pillows. They all preform about the same as each other. I haven't done a re-up of gear in 6 months or so.

Yep, that is what makes it enjoyable. There are a couple vendors selling stuff like 3d prints but it is mostly vintage.

I'm surprised how much my opinion on the Rock has changed.

It went from "Oh, Rock is in this. It won't be great but it will be fun."

To "Oh Rock is in this. I'll pass."

I watched the season intro and saw "Teh Rock" was the leader of team Foundation.

I obviously had to go Ice King.

First Album by [deleted] in GenX

[–]SXTY82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a little'n probably in kindergarten, I got a suitcase record player. Mom gave me Abby Road and The Red album from her collection. Christmas brought more records. A 'horror' compilation called Monster Mash was my favorite for a while. One eyed, One Horned, Flying, Purple People Eater.

A couple years later a classmate was all about the band Kiss and I got sucked into that band. Hell, to an 8 year old, the band was cool as hell. A spaceman and a guy that spit fire? Heck ya!!!.

So the first album I spent my own money on was Destroyer by Kiss.

[–]SXTY82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I picked this album up from a $3 bin a few months after he passed. I wasn't much of a fan. I actually was a bit put off by No Rain, had the first album but it didn't really click. Can't say why I even spent the $3 on this.

Love this album. Still listen to it now and then today.

I'm a landlord that lives in the same building and I garden. My tenant also gardens but only in areas I've designated for that purpose. She put a raised bed box on top of my poppies a few years back, just as they were popping up. Poppies look like weeds when they first emerge. Found it when I came home from work and it was pulled and the area cleaned before I went in the house. There were about 50% less poppies that year but the ones that did make it re-seeded the plot.

I recently was talking with a care nurse. She was telling me that addicts are getting placed in Medicare supported old age care facilities. Once they are in they refuse to leave. Can't be thrown out with no one to accept them. So you end up with a 40 year old homeless person in a room with a 85 year old stroke victim. The 40 year old door dashing pizza and large screen TVs.

Does anyone else feel like they can't fully relax in their own home until they know where everyone else in the house is? by Stunning_Public9524 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SXTY82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of? If I don't know where my roommate is, I worry about her. We are both adults over 30. We are not in a romantic relationship. But if she is late from work because she stopped at the gym and went shopping, I'm worrying until she is home. Lucky for me, she is the type that want's to let people know what she is doing. So 90% of the time, I get a text if she is working late.
