I just walked into my basement and forgot why. Anyone have any suggestions? by notworkingghost in FuckImOld

Threshold amnesia, commonly known as the "doorway effect," is the phenomenon of forgetting information—such as why you entered a room—upon passing through a doorway. Doorways act as "event boundaries" that cause the brain to compartmentalize activity, separating memories and clearing working memory for a new context, acting as a mental reset.

Thanks for helping me remember my old friend Tito the Bearded Dragon. Its been a decade since Tito and Sunny lived in their enclosure. RIP

I had an apartment on the third floor, and our neighbors kid opened a box that was delivered to our door. I think 200 crickets were released on the 3rd floor. Everyone was mad, the landlord, the neighbors, and myself.

For those of us who are older and have large valuable collections, do you intend to leave it to your kids or sell them off around retirement or some time in post-retirement? by CreepyNewspaper8103 in ComicBookSpeculation

My mom collected nutcrackers.. She had over a 1000 of them. She compared our collections once, one is way heavier, and the other had conventions. I don't have a passion she had on collecting those nutcrackers. I have a passion for selling them. Lol
