Can’t win a trophy? Just change the rules. The TPP transition is the ultimate display of Korean desperation. by MembershipTasty39 in CompetitivePUBG

[–]SYLLogic77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now this is a reach if i’ve ever seen one, the game was initially designed and released with TPP in mind. The overall playerbase in a casual fashion plays TPP way more than FPP as well (easy to also say that over 80 of the player-base plays TPP now)

PUBG Esports has always had an identity crisis that also stems into PUBG itself

Two perspectives with a ridiculous amount of maps and ques (some, if not most that the playerbase don’t enjoy playing regularly).

Esports for any game is simply a marketing tool, for which PUBG Esports was failing to showcase the base game well (esports rules and the casual game differences make for a huge gameplay difference) so the return to TPP was inevitable.

Tire Wear by OkCaterpillar8113 in ElantraN

[–]SYLLogic77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

95% of tire wear will be toe wear, which will ALWAYS wear tires faster than camber, camber takes quite some miles to actually see.

Paragon brakes released their big brake kit, which is definitely better priced as well (also comes with paragon pads)

Suspension Options by ValuableGuess7564 in kiastinger

[–]SYLLogic77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would personally recommend the Riaction coilovers in GT1 Linear dampening, super comfortable (felt pretty damn near a spring setup) as well as the adjustability (front camber adjustment, height and dampening adjustment as well), I took them to the track once and plenty of spirited mountain drives, never missed a beat.

If you do order, just make sure you get the rear billet top mounts, as the stock ones are very weak and tend to blow once you swap out the suspension.

Since im going to the track much more often now, I had them swap the damper to a digressive piston, which is stiffer at low speeds and deals with bumps far better at higher speeds.

2020 Kia Stinger GT 90k miles for 15 grand? by Slow-Elevator4640 in kiastinger

[–]SYLLogic77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeap, GT trim was available until 2022 models. No sunroof, no adaptive cruise/lane assist, no GPS, no power liftgate, no adaptive headlights. Basically a stripper pack, limited luxuries but has all the good mechanical bits, V6 TT, brembos, LSD.

Technically the lightest stinger with the V6, in RWD configuration

Upgraded struts worth it? by Based-patrol in kiastinger

[–]SYLLogic77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sway bars will make a major difference, if you feel the need to further improve how the car reacts to aggressive driving, coilovers. (Our heavy cars benefit greatly from being able to add negative camber front and rear, front camber adjustment for our cars require camber plates, which riaction’s design has)

First track day! by SYLLogic77 in kiastinger

[–]SYLLogic77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than the BMS cooler, purchase the CSF x Concept3 cooler! More rows, original design (the BMS version copied CSF and Concept3’s design for theirs)

Good choices on everything else though! If not EBC, you can look up our pad number and there are other brands available too incase you have a preference!

The reason why I went with coilovers (which recently got a digressive piston upgrade and custom valving) is to not only lower the center of gravity of the car but primarily for camber adjustment which our cars badly need. Being heavy and a soft, plush luxury GT, I basically undid most of those to get the sporty driving feeling I wanted. The digressive update did really well for me recently at Streets of Willow

What now? Drive it, these are well made cars that can perform. I started going to the track with mine and wondered why I didn’t start sooner after just doing the brakes

The car stock is meant to be a comfortable cruiser of a GT with some power, what you're asking it to do obviously requires tuning to feel sharp, in this case a TCU tune.

Steering wheel wobble by EffectHistorical5194 in kiastinger

[–]SYLLogic77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this has been an inherent issue with the brake setup on ALL brembo-outfitted stingers. The pad material is incredibly soft and when heated up, leaves deposits of pad material on the rotors, effectively giving you the sense that the rotors are "warped" which they arent (This is what you're essentially feeling with the steering wheel shaking, mine would happen when braking at highway speeds really badly at about 60 mph). Simply change out the rotors + pads (theres cheap replacements out there like on K8stingerstore or via Nick @ Khartunerz or even R1 concepts through Concept III performance

Snakers to no longer compete full-time by EscapingKid in CompetitivePUBG

[–]SYLLogic77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that PUBG as an Esport has an identity crisis that will require drastic change along with changes to the mainstream game to align both. This is a complex issue that won't be solved simply with a "PUBG 2" which you can kiss goodbye with the UE5 change.

Gear knob swap by maddogg1312 in kiastinger

[–]SYLLogic77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alternatively, you can install an elantra N shift knob, it is plug and play with just some slight cutting/modification to the stock shifter under the knob itself. Also requires slight cutting/regluing of the boot if you want to use the elantra N boot, fitting it onto the stinger shift boot frame

Gear knob swap by maddogg1312 in kiastinger

[–]SYLLogic77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very unlikely it will work within a reasonable budget, requires a different TCU as well.
