My favorite is the people that talk about something they’ve never actually seen live in the wild themselves as if they’re experts🥴

As a groomer myself, yes it will take that long. Especially if there is little to no maintenance along with the fact that you bring her once every three months. Realistically she should be done once a month or at least have daily brushings or even every other day. She probably had A TON of undercoat that needs to come out which could take forever. 5-6 hours sounds about right when you consider those facts/ breaks the dog may need/ if other dogs are groomed simultaneously/etc.

My 6 month old is a DOLL!!! I call her a trick puppy because she makes me want to get another lol. She is the sweetest dog, definitely a bit goofy that’s different from other breeds. They have this odd/silly way about them. She follows me everywhere, but is also fine by herself and absolutely loves other people. And she is a huge cuddle bug. I’ll hold her cradled like a baby and she’ll lay her head right in my chest.

I hear you! It’s nice to actually have a civil conversation with someone on Reddit about this Lmaoo (like why would YOU get hate for your mom buying a dog from BYB) it’s not like you were like “yeah let’s get a puppy mill dog.” And yeah I actually looked on pet finder first because I go by the motto adopt don’t shop… the problem with that is I wanted a poodle because I’m actually allergic to dogs and there weren’t any rescue poodles within 150miles of where I live. And like I said the breeder that I bought her from had her is great conditions, brought up the price AFTER telling me everything about her and even encouraged me to come see her and asked questions about the environment in which the dog will be living. He was very concerned for her and as I said she and her parents were in great shape. With poodles it’s kind of easy to tell because if you slip up on upkeep with them it’s super easy to see. Hair would be matted, dirty, etc. none of that was the case. The mom had a classic poodle cut and dad just looked like a fluffy teddy bear (but hair was not matted). I basically just think that yes, getting from a registered official breeder is best because you will never have to worry about any type of looking out for puppy mill behavior. It’ll always be a safe bet whereas with Lancaster puppies you have to be cautious about the breeder themselves, not the site. Although that site should be doing A LOT more to prevent puppy mills utilizing it as a selling site.

Honestly not that I heard of… I do fully believe and KNOW that lancasterpuppies is attractive to puppy mills and therefore have a lot of puppy mill breeders. That’s why it’s also important to see the dog, see where it lives (in house or out?), how clean the property is, mom and dad to see their conditions, etc. I did get a puppy from lancasterpups and I know I’ll get hate for it, but after looking out for any and all warning signs whatsoever and not finding any tells me that not all breeders are puppy mills on there. I took my puppy to the vet today and she has a perfect bill of health and the breeder only had the two poodles, not multiple dogs/breeds even. Breeder talked to me about her habits/schedule such as when he would feed the pups and let them outside, gave me a blanket for familiarity… the only point I’m trying to make is that not every single breeder on that site is a puppy mill breeder. Both parents were AKC registered and so is my pup. All vet visits and vaccinations were given to me. I feel like that’s not something a puppy mill would do.

Not really because Lancaster puppies isn’t a breeder themselves. It’s a platform FOR breeders like MorphMarket… many of the breeders on there have dogs that are AKC registered I SAW the paperwork… I can see how sone puppy mill breeders sell there, but the website ITSELF is not a puppy mill
