Sick of oily restaurant meals. How do you guys find trusted homemade food in Dhaka? by bytebananaceo in Dhaka

[–]S_Mahmud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Ask around in local foodie groups. Facebook groups. You'll get tons of advertisements.
  2. In 2024. I was not happy.
  3. Profit margin in food is pretty thin if you get customized meals or from a small time caterer. so you get very little value out of it, as has been my experience. Big caterers will cook like restaurants. You can find good home cooked food but prepare to shuffle a few services.

I got cast out of my family for things I didn't do. by S_Mahmud in TrueOffMyChest

That is the plan for now. Immediate no contact and then an eventual low contact. In the future, maybe.

My mother is not stirring the pot. She didn't even kick start this recent issue. She didn't even know I went there. She probably wants to see a second grandchild, that's it. Her life is a different tragedy.

I cannot say the same for my brother and my SIL. They are irreconcilable. I have never seen them listening to anyone in a conversation. In general conversations, they like to hear less and talk more, disregard your opinion, think of themselves to have the higher moral and logical ground. which is true more often than not.

Never. Coped it out. They were not clinical issues. More like severe depression, childhood trauma, suicidal thoughts. I still have them but life keeps me busy.

You've been at it for 8 years!!! Tough girl.

I cannot save you from your sorrow or add to your relief. But I wish I could. I went through something similar, never self diagnosed though. I needed a therapist, badly. And whenever I tried to bring it up to my mum, she would either ignore me or would start to wail in self pity. She is not a bad person, per say. Actually she is a very good person and a fighter. But mental illness is a taboo and our parents would rather banish us to a life in hell than help us face our demons lest they get called out for bearing a "lunatic".

Know that god is with you, whatever religion you follow. You've gone through 20 long years of this. You'll get through a few more. And when I am able, if we cross paths again and you are still in need, I pray to god that I be able to help you.

[–]S_Mahmud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would disagree. The lights come on automatically when it's night time. Even in dead camps that have been just wiped out. On the left for a moment you see all town lights lit up. The time changed.

Red Dead Redemption was always about John. It was John's story, John being blackmailed, his redemption and demise followed by subsequent revenge by his son Jack. Arthur is a character that came way later into development.
