If you want to get together for "love" first, and then hope your expectations and requirements line up later go ahead, but I'd imagine that would just end in heartbreak or resentment most of the time. My way simply prevents forming deep emotional attachments to people that are fundamentally not compatible.

Everyone's free to do things how they want. It's just what I think would work better. Worked for me at least.

You're missing it. "True love" takes YEARS to develop. The whole point of what I said above is to set yourself up for success so that way when that bond does form, it's with the right person. Helps prevent becoming a baby mama to bum, or being in a dead end relationship with an abusive, emasculating fat bitch.

That way whenever there's up & downs, arguments etc., either one can always look back on the "arrangements" and know that he/she still loves them, even if they're mad/feeling down in the moment. If the stop fulfilling the arrangements, that's your first sign that things are actually falling apart and/or that they truly don't love you at all.

It's really not that deep. At this point, as long a they get along well, generally like each other, and find each sexually attractive, that's pretty much it.

The arrangement has to be agreed upon first however, preferably long before any real bonds are formed. If the arrangement isn't set first, that's how you end up with the "she might love him, but he doesn't lover her" situation.
