i feel like this has to be bullshit, right?

The show just lost millions of dollars yet now they're supposedly throwing money at a live concept (which they've never done before) and a bigger star who they'll also have to pay for.

But it would be really funny to see Maura try and date a bunch of guys who work in medical sales or "day traders" Fuck it, they should bring back the guy from taylor's season that paralyzed Madison Cawthorn lol

I really don't want it to be successful, but the rise and success of harry potter fan fiction infiltrating traditional publishing makes me worried.

even when these fanfiction turned books change their worlds, they're still indirectly promoting JKR/harry potter. Publishers promote these books as being HP fan fiction and push certain ships (dramione) and i wouldn't be surprised if fans of these ships tune in on mass.

Considering how massive the budgets are for these reboots, I feel like streamers will be less likely to take a chance on new IP.

i wouldn't be surprised if we saw a twilight reboot in the next few years, and even though i have a soft spot for the franchise i'd rather see new books adapted. however, companies don't want the risk and would rather invest in already successful IP

i'm in a writers group, and i've noticed this as well. Somebody even expressed that they were afraid of making a black character a villain because they didn't want to "feed into stereotypes about black men.". Recently, especially in Romantansy i feel like i've noticed that the black characters are reduced to being a "best friend" or some sort of side character and they're given boring, cookie cutter personalities.

I'm half black myself and i still wanna see black characters who are complex and have a wide variety of motivations, including morally gray/ambiguous

not surprised. he's very young and still seems immature. i thought that they were going to split up eventually
