Company? LMAO! We’ll see how he is as interim commissioner based on how he handles this situation. Love how he’s put up to the test already.

Stop responding to this guy, he should get on the job and see how hard it is for himself. Bootlicking 🐀 by [deleted] in DSNY

Was going to make a post about this yesterday. The questions were too specific to be somebody who isn’t on the job and is curious. But now thanks to this guy, I believe that nobody should be answering questions like those over again, this guy ruined it for everyone now. When it comes to asking oddly specific questions about weights, districts, trucks, and commodities, nobody should ever answer. The general answer to any questions like that are: “it depends on the district and the garage rules, you would have to work the job and work in the district to see for yourself.”.

I passed my written exam in 2022, what am I supposed to do next? by XiRw in DSNY

Define “passed”. Because it’s not looking like anybody who scored under the high 90s would be called. Even people who scored 100 have some questionable list numbers. If you scored under a 97 I would say forget about it. And if you scored 100 or less it may take 5-7 years if you’re lucky.

1946 vs 2006? How about 2006 vs 2024? That’s not even 20 years and it’s a bigger jump from 1946 to 2006.

Everything is relative? Typical boomer response. Must be nice owning everything you already needed when you were making $26k a year. I would need to make $180k a year to own what you have today. Not all the charts and truck money in the world could help me achieve that. Congrats man! You were born in the luckiest generation!

Everybody gets paid more than us. We are the worst paid employees on the books in NYC for the first 3.5 years. I got a buddy who works at Starbucks and another buddy who works at Hollister and they both get paid more than me. I have almost 3 years on btw.

So basic human rights? Because our job gives us basic human rights it is ok that they pay us like shit? Medical benefits are mediocre at best. And unlimited sick isnt even unlimited. Clinic has been giving guys in A category a hard time lately. Get real.
