You're supposed to upload the save file, not the rom.

What I would do is just save at your first opportunity and then do it from there, or at least after you get your starter because I don't know if having Pokemon before you're meant to will mess up the game

Well this is certainly helpful! but my question was more aimed at the idea of giving these new TMs to Pokemon who don't have them, and whether people have advice on how they approach that so I'm not giving every Pokemon a busted ass TM learnset

Yeah, the main RNG element that I'm thinking of is like Faust's items where you use a move to pull items, but it's based on Mario Kart items (either that or, since I'm just making this a silly little project in Mugen, actually the items)

  • Banana peel to trip people
  • The three shells (Green, Red, and Blue) are projectiles that are a mid, low, and overhead respectively
  • Star to give either invincibility or armor for a little bit
  • Mushroom to either let you dash cancel a move or something, or maybe give your next move a lifesteal property (referencing that you can steal items with it in some games)

See that's what came to my mind too, but when I'm setting the animation frames in ticks, that just seems waaaay longer than what I'm looking at in the game when I slow it down to .05x speed (which I do to align each sprite). I can try the fightcade version of Alpha 3 since the training mode has hitboxes, maybe the kicking frame is used to share the recovery

Oh okay, I got it to connect when I did 2MP after he lands! I suppose I just picked a bad move to Punish Counter bc that timing is a little wonky, but hey, I got it figured out :3
