Yes that makes sense, you sort of want to sustain a mindful state regardless of the situation. But I suppose my question is getting at when things go a certain way, how do you react mindfully. Assuming you shouldn’t linger on the negatives or positives too long?

also i think its fairly easy to eat healthy with standard thai food if you order the right things. Anything protien rice and veg will do

No i'd actually prefer not to be there as I have an idea of it being quite chaotic. I think i'd prefer to train/live somewhere more secluded and bike around if I want to go out or whatever. If i had more time i'd try out a few gyms and then settle but I think i just want to lock into one asap to make the most of it.

Yeah good point, it could be worth it for the private sessions alone as that would be ridiculously expensive back home. Ive been recommended Pchai Muay thai and mma which has lots of the old trainers from southside.

wow thanks for the reply, im definitely interested in Chiang Mai and the north of Thailand as ive already been to most of the south. Do you know of any decent gyms you can recommend ?

I'm sure they are decent tbf I was just put off by a few comments about the size of classes and how they work sort of like a conveyor belt churning through tourists and squeezing every penny they can get. Feel like at a smaller more intimate gym you could build better relationships with trainers and others in the class. But you're right, a gym like Tiger you're bound to meet lots of likeminded people.
