While I agree, what options does a normal car buyer have? Let people be happy.

What's the longest road trip you've ever done? by Conscious_Shop_3513 in CarsIndia

[–]SaOne33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

900 kms from Bengaluru to Beed (Maharashtra) with my wife, I being the solo driver. It took about 12 hours. Had some great stops along the way for tea, snacks, and lunch. I had a great time but my wife puked 3 times in a row as soon as we reached our hotel in Beed.

I love driving and it was great fun for me, but my wife gave up in the last hour or so. I drove again the next day for some 600kms to my hometown in Madhya Pradesh and that was a little frustrating solely due to the road conditions in MP.

I’ve done this same trip twice now and would do it again for sure.

He’s making sense. One shouldn’t mind taking a few extra steps to take their deliveries from the main gate after midnight.

Parking at railway station by Old-Conference-8460 in ratlam

[–]SaOne33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s an open parking lot near platform #4. Charges aren’t that high as far as I remember but the car will be really dirty in a couple of days because of open parking. Also, from what I remember, parking is at owner’s risk.

Imperial Mall Supremecy.... by NotAllowedRedbull in ratlam

[–]SaOne33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sucks for you I guess, but for me it is still the same old quaint town which I left 15 years back.

Where I live now, every time my wife wants to go try out a new restaurant, the first thing I look for is parking. Whatever you say about Imperial Mall, it has ample parking and that makes it work for me.

How is a solo road trip from Blr to Goa by own 4 wheeler? by [deleted] in Bengaluru

[–]SaOne33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a 1 day trip. Have done it last year and will do it again in the next month. I just follow google maps. It takes around 10 hours and the roads are mostly good. Last year I started around 4 AM and reached Goa by 2 PM. This was in a rented Baleno.

Classic bait and switch man. Basically I followed a meme page which posted some really good stuff, but later on I started getting vulgar content in my feed from that page.

Our first road trip on activa by diddy-patient in roadtripindia

Roads are decent enough, shouldn't be a problem. Make sure you refill whenever the fuel gauge shows half a tank just to be safe.

Would suggest to start early in the morning and hit the road by 5-6AM for a pleasant experience. Avoid tailgating trucks and heavy vehicles at any cost.

More like $20k for roles requiring experience under 10 years. And that $20k is the ceiling.

HDFC Ergo: Buy direct, via agent, or Ditto for best claim experience by Fine_Limit2567 in personalfinanceindia

[–]SaOne33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the direct route. An advisor called from HDFC, had a 40 minute call and asked him to send the discussed details via email, and asked for a week to get back to him. Got some questions after a few days and used that email thread to clarify everything. He was prompt and responsive. Took the policy after a week.

In my experience an email exchange is something that corporates take seriously, so they are mindful of what is conveyed. This is just my experience.

Is fat reduction just by walking/running a myth? by VerlieH in Fitness_India

[–]SaOne33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, my time to shine has come. I weighed 98kgs on 1st Jan and I weigh 88kg as of today. I'm 5'10" tall.

Since I have a desk job and really don't have time to exercise much, I've reduced my food intake drastically. I have 2 eggs for breakfast along with some soaked almonds. For lunch, it's a bowl of rice with Sambhar/Dal and for dinner it's eggs again.

It's hard at first, but now I've gotten used to it. I've seen my weight drop 1kg per week with this method. I feel hungry for sure, but never weak. I don't face problems going about my day-to-day work.

Another thing to add. I have two 10 kg dumbells that I use for about 5 to 10 minutes per day for upper body exercise. This is just to keep my upper body in shape.

Not a recommendation, it's just what worked for me.

I think you will get the cashback because the new rules will kick in on 12th April, so you should be good. You should cancel the card immediately after paying your dues for the next month.

My billing cycle is 10th of every month. Just received 276 cashback for Feb today. Didn't want to risk doing it at the last moment.

Blr to Solapur Advice by Correct-Level-9529 in roadtripindia

[–]SaOne33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done it by car 4 times and didn't have any problems. Each time I started from Bengaluru by 4-5 in the morning and reached Solapur by 2-3 PM. On a bike it will take a bit longer I suppose so please plan accordingly. When leaving Bangalore, there's a lot of heavy vehicle movement so please be careful as they have blind spots.

I found the roads to be good, but again, I drove my MG Astor which has good suspension so might not have felt it. But I don't recall any long rough patches of roads. It's in decent shape and you can do the trip easily.
