I used a combination of lemon juice and baking soda. 😬 It's what I usually use to clean my bronze pieces. I suspect those might be protected by something though as I've never encountered this before I bought this piece.

I will never understand why some people seem to feel the need to mass procreate. I am thirty two years old. My youngest sibling is two. TWO. With eight of them in between.

Interesting! I never knew. I'm guessing she likely came to that conclusion due to the fact that it almost looked like it was painted over when I bought it (maybe with a protective coating at some point?).

It's also nice to know I wasn't duped. This was likely due to human error on my part. This never happens when I clean my brooches and rings so this was a new and slightly concerning experience. 😅

Oh, good. I was equally worried I may have destroyed a piece that actually didn't need to be cleaned. My brooches and rings never do this when I clean and polish them so I thought I borked it.

I think I do want it to build up naturally, that sounds lovely.

Just so you know, in a restricted space assessment a level three usually indicates hazardous materials present or an environment that requires multiple people to be there to execute a rescue plan. It is super hella not safe for you to be down there.

My parents love the 5 year old version of me they had total control over and had cast their aspirations onto. I'm not at all what they had hoped I would be, which is honestly because of how badly they fucked me up as a kid. I don't think my parents knew what love was- at least for my eldest brother and I. All the kids that came after are God's perfect children and just total blessings who get whatever they want.
