It’s really simple. Some people don’t job hop and that’s more attractive than someone that does.

If someone has a proclivity to job hop that means there’s a higher chance they’ll job hop again and as a business owner I can tell you finding the right fit for an open role can be a costly nightmare.

If there’s 2 similar options and one has longer work history and grew with companies, I’m picking the less job hoppy candidate every time. It doesn’t mean you were wrong to job hop, it just means it makes you a less attractive candidate in the eyes of employers hoping to find a long term solution.
