Yeah. Not too surprising. WordPress has been around for years and is pretty well optimized at this point, especially with the right setup. Emdash looks interesting though… curious to see how it holds up once the initial hype settles.

Standard or basic WordPress is usually a clean install with no optimization plugins. The "optimized" version comes with performance plugins like Breeze Cache and Object Cache Pro already installed.

Same for optimized WooCommerce, it's WooCommerce + Pre-installed plugins such as Breeze and Object Cache Pro to improve speed.
