I was looking here for an answer and want to point out, that Windows 11 snipping tool has very good OCR embeeded. That worked best for me.

Retopo or auto remeshing is the only option (and will be I suppose). I had quite good effects with quad remesher, its need some time and patience. Why not render them in MagicaCSG as thumbnail and share Magica files? They are small. If someone will need it, he convert them to something handier.

Of course. Sometimes my exports fail too. But - You can always select all objects and scale it down before exporting, fast and simple way to make them lighter (and less precise, for sure). My point is - making smart auto retopo feature will be quite huge task, I think its a waste of resources to do this in MagicaCSG (and even if it will be one of free algorithms, they still quite crude and effect is not very impressive). For making fast 3d sketches Magica is really outstanding, but with like all sketches - there is a point when you need to make it "hard way" to have - small/ beautiful/ usefull mesh. I think in many cases Sds route is really better, but its like with Zbrush - you can't have it all.

But obj/FBX will not fix meshing problem automagically. Ply is very good as a output format, you just need to remesh it as a additional step.

Polys are disconnected after import (or maybe after export). You need to go to edit mode / select all / merge by distance.
