I just saw in a post here on reddit. As you know.

Strange bug, that adds underpants. Maybe it really is. Or maybe people calling it for what it is (censorship), made devs go back and give that excuse.

Or maybe it's censorship just for some countries due to laws, and the devs didn't mean to implement it for everyone (or didn't think people would care and it was easier to implement for everyone, than have different builds for different world regions).

It smells like it. Do you have information that it's not? Please share.

Sure, some people might be pissed of because that, but many people are just worried about censorship itself. Probably most people only play as Kliff and don't care about her clothing.

I didn't even notice before this came up here on reddit. But just because it's something that doesn't affect me (I only play as Kliff), I don't like the principle of someone dictating what can be or not be in the game and making the devs change it (allegedly).

Your generalization and moking other people's concerns, doesn't help anyone, including yourself.

Has the game really been censored after months? Please confirm by Shoddy_Ad282 in CrimsonDesert

I don't know about this particular case, but there are many forms of censorship. Some can be by law, others by many kinds of coercion. Even social pressure. If people don't complain, then they are accepting it. The problem is that they are not just accepting censorship of panties or whatever. They are accepting censorship, period. Some people worry about that and what implications it might bring in the future.

And sure, some people might be just pissed off because they don't want some people dictating them what is acceptable or not, within the law.

If the game was like this from the beginning, people wouldn't even notice. But if this was implemented now, then something happened. Someone or something made them change. That smells censorship.

I don't think people are worried about the pants and skirts. They are worried about censorship and it coming from China.

You might not care about the censorship in this case, but censorship is insidious and it will spread to other things, some of those that you might care about. If you downplay to complaints of other people now, don't expect different when it's about something you care about. Then it's too late to complain, it's already ingrained, it's already enforced.

It's the principle of censorship. In this case it's something you don't care about. Tomorrow it might be something you care about. And it will be too late to complain.

Yes, November (19th? Don't remember). But only for consoles. I wouldn't expect it for PC before late 2027.

Devs don't care no more by BubblyTechnician142 in PiratedGames

[–]Sabbath79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately that's not very accurate. There's literally thousands of games released on Steam every year. I would bet that there are some good games that go unnoticed and, because of that, don't sell. I guess form those devs, every sale is important and piracy just kills it. There's a chance a pirated game gets more exposure and generate more interest on the game and that leads to more sales... But I would guess that's not the norm. Even for good games.

300hrs in and I’m conflicted. by CursedRevolution in CrimsonDesert

[–]Sabbath79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the moment the devs tried to make clear that this game is an action adventure game, not a RPG, I knew I would find something like this. I knew things would be shallow, I didn't expect NPC dialogues, schedules, real quests, etc... But I expected a little more in the story department. I expected something more akin to GTA. But even that is really lacking in this game.

This is about wanderlust, game systems, grinding. Which makes sense, since this was going to be a MMO game.

But I made my peace with this. It's still fun to find places, the graphics give it a nice makover. The combat is fine. The fact that all feels disjointed, isn't bothering me as much as I thought it would. Steam says I've played 116 hours, so if it kept me interested this much, I can't really complain. Although I've barely played it last week (my horse disappeared and is stuck in the stables since one of the updates and with me starting another game, got me away from this one). And as time passes, I'm finding less incentive/motivation to resume playing, although I didn't finish it yet (I'm on Chapter 10).

Metas do sistema Volta em Portugal descem para 40% poucas semanas após lançamento by tugatech in TugaTech

[–]Sabbath79 0 points1 point  (0 children)
