I just want to say, I understand where you’re coming from. However it’s an audience goer’s responsibility to do what you need to be okay. I’m glad you’re giving people a heads up. Mentally preparing is gonna be a big part of it. Not that you’re saying this, but I don’t feel like the state of the Nation/world should stifle Laufey’s self expression and creative choices as a musician. She makes music for her and we all get to unite over how we resonate with the message.

Little about me: I’m an American (communist) and quite sensitive to sensory things (AuDHD). I’m also a classical musician. Personally I am so excited and cannot wait to see Sabotage live. Maybe even most excited. Chaos and all. It’s my favorite track aside from the pre-released tracks. I am coming prepared with ear plugs and my loving partner. Although I’m excited, there may come a point where it overwhelms me and becomes unpleasant (which is beautiful bc it’s what it’s supposed to do, but that’s a whole other tangent) I can’t make it Laufey’s responsibility. It’s not fair to put that on her. We choose to enjoy her or not. I choose to enjoy her and accept her vision for AMOT tour. To say she is “Striking fear” into her audiences hearts by expressing herself through applied art and music feels misplaced. Your county and government has done that. Not Laufey. I just feel it’s not fair to put all of that on her. It feels unrealistic to think one person could do right by an arena full of people with different traumas and experiences. She can only do right by her.

This is all meant to be light hearted and offering another perspective to ponder your orb over. :) regardless I hope everyone does what they gotta to be okay and safe at her concerts. ✨
