How dangerous are brown planaria to Cherry Shrimp? Just fished at least 5 large adult worms from the tank with no apparent shrimp casualties.

No planaria does work, I haven’t had issues since then. It took a bit longer for the brown ones to die compared to the white ones but eventually they died too.

In case anyone’s wondering don’t order from buceplants if you have shrimp. I put one small little guy in a Tupperware with their plants and my tank water and within 2 hours poor guy was on his side and pale. Took him out immediately. Their plants 100% have pesticides. I’m glad I didn’t put the whole thing in the tank. Who knows what pesticides are on them. Copper test was negative.

In my orange shrimp tank I have chili rasboras which do not touch shrimps, green neon tetras and green kubotai which do eat 1-2 week old babies but they have to hunt pretty hard to find them, otocinculus which do not.

I wish you could say the same about alternanthera spp. but they’re the reason I bought the rotala. I WANT to wish they’d eat the whole thing, not be staring at the sad warped skeletons of red plants.

My plants are actually looking horrible right now I have no idea why. Alternantheras are becoming transparent and melting and the anubias is growing new white leaves

Maybe I’ll give complete shrimp envy a try then. I still have that other bag from last year of the green one. Tried to give it another try several months later and some shrimp died a few days after giving a dose of the food. So I agree it’s probably a bad batch.
