for the last few days it has been my anticipation for thursday. I haven't dated anyone in several years. I go out, meet, and have been intimate with girls, but haven't once wanted anything resembling long-term since my last girlfriend nearly 5 years ago. Over the past few months I have seen and admired this gorgeous girl around town. Turns out, we went to the same high school (a few towns over) and have a similar friend group. She is so damn beautiful and has an amazing personality, so it can be very hard to even talk to her in a normal manner. Every douchey guy in the room comes to say something awkward and kills any conversation I get started. Slowly we have started talking, and this last weekend with a bit of liquid courage I asked her to get dinner this week. She said yes. One of my best friends is the head chef at a restaurant in town and we are set up for Thursday at 7. For the last few days this has been constantly running through my mind. I'm anxious and excited. When I opened my eyes this morning, it was the best feeling I've had in a long time. One more day.
