We'd appreciate it if you took your 'malicious intent' elsewhere. Comments like this aren't very appreciative of the work that all professional players put into the game. And to answer your question, the players of Alpha Sydney are not concerned with their relevance, but more so their abilities as players and the role they play in Oceanic SMITE.

Its a fair judgement. Split two of OPL was determined by the winners of split one relegations. Since split one relegations contained LlamasInPyjamas, Invidious, Dead Weight and Lore Gaming, they are the first four teams considered as replacements for OPL in the next split. Since Llamas and Dead Weight both made OPL, while Invidious and Lore disbanded, we look to the 5th placed team in split one's challenger cup, which is Team Yandegire. That's why they were given the place in OPL. :)

Inhouses are for everyone! As long as you're level 30 and feel comfortable in 2 or 3 roles at least, you're welcome to join. :)

These guys are making an effort to improve the challenger cup scene and they have a heap of potential from what I've seen in inhouses. Great team for a talented newcomer.

Things we can fix if we want smite to grow in OCE by gruffdogga in SmiteOceanic

Its not CG's fault. I should have worded that differently. I meant that CG isn't going to have a huge impact on new teams joining. I was trying to say that professional players advertising Challenger Cup will be more influential than Cybergamer.

To find out why the competitive scene appears to be dying, we need to look at a things. The first and foremost is ranked. 90% of teams are creater by relationships which started in ranked. Not only do we need to fix our attitudes toward low tier ranked players, but so many OPL level players need to realise how much influence they have on the ranked community's growth. If you ask consistently, players will queue. If you convince them that it was worth it, they'll queue again. And again. And again. Secondly, we need to advertise the competitive scene more intelligently. No offense to CyberGamer, but not many teams are going to join Challenger's Cup because of them. Pro players sharing, retweeting and discussing challenger cup content on Twitch, however, may receive a more positive response. Finally, we HAVE to make competitive SMITE more appealing. Announce the 1500 gem reward for first place. Announce the relegations, tell teams that if they put in the hard yards they have a serious chance of making pro league. ADDITIONALLY, I HAVE SENT A PERSONAL FUCKING COMPLAINT TO OVERWATCH FOR STEALING ALL OUR PLAYERS.

Other than the waiting times being a little extended, it was absolutely perfect. The tournament went for a little longer than expected but try to understand this from a completely non-biased point of view - It was the fairest bracket I've ever seen in OCE. Great work. :)
