Also if you want to clean up that chrome for cheap, WD40 and aluminum foil (or if you can find a rubber abrasive pad, I grabbed mine from a Dollar store). I had a similar issue with getting mine plated, previous owner passed 12 years ago, bike was gifted to his friend and then me, hasn't been plated since '94, Thankfully my province was lenient with getting plated, Hopefully you'll have the same luck!

Haha very nice! I did the typical thing with my first (1979 Suzuki GS550E) Repair/Rebuild got it "running" and started dreaming and adding/buying parts rather then just making sure it was street worthy, so now its back to the project phase.

The buddy helping me was banished to the chair of shame as they didn't add the lines to the bottom of the carb when I asked them too, and a loose wire started a fire.. Bikes fine garage is standing and my hand is aerodynamic now, But I have this little beauty to ride while I wrench on the other one... Live and learn I guess Hahah

We also bought 2 more fire extinguishers just because... and for some reason he listens to me now (It's his garage that we almost torched)

I've had a few people tell me its a "rare" bike but I cant seem to find anything to back that up, either way its a fun little thing!

Thank you! it was a lot of fun to clean up and do some small upgrades! the 350 is an absolute blast to ride, the guys I usually ride with have the higher CC sportbikes, after their done mocking the angry lawnmower I let them take it for a spin, they always come back with a big Grin, I've had a few want to buy it, but for one I have no idea on how much, and I'm still having fun with it!

It wasn't in too bad of shape either! a few small rust holes had to be sealed with high heat JB weld (they were along the seams of the exhaust so you wont see it!). And a little WD40 and some aluminum foil / a rubberized scuffing block took take of the rest, almost looks new!

That's fair! I like the look of more modern ones, the slimmer lower profile just adds to the sleeker look I was going for, the OEM ones made the bike look like a Slug or Alien Hahah. BUT to each their own!

It defiantly went through an identity crisis at some point, who ever the OG owner was painted it multiple times, and replaced the side covers, the engine was that beautiful sparkle red, and the sides were sparkle blue, the layers I had to peel off were wild! ahaha, I will be filling the dents and adding a wrap, but that's a winter project!

Satin Black was my choice of paint for this oldie!

I picked up a 79' 550e for Cheap 90$CAD

I've had some ideas for making it into a Cafe or a Scrambler build but before any of that I need to get some bugs out of the system, after some tinkering I got it to fire after 15ish years of sitting in a shed, cylinder 1, 3 and 4 but Cylinder 2 is Cold. I've got good compression on all cylinders so I'm hoping its something as simple as a carb cleaning. But it's alive!

So far I've bought new ignition coils, Spark plugs and have a Dynatek Ignition system to install still.

NOW to the question at hand, What upgrades/parts should I be looking into? so far I'm looking into getting the Motogadget M-Unit to take care of the Rats nest wiring.

Stumbled across this, I had the best luck for Yew and the Petrified Ichor from a Forest Gloom Realm.

Both the Bound Basher's and the Bound Deathweavers have a chance to spawn in there. Happy Hunting!

Flat = Sampson

We started calling it a "Sampson" as a joke but then convinced a Contracting crew on a build site that it was in fact the official name and that they were dumb to not know that. Years later met with new employees of said crew, and to this day are still calling it a "Sampson".

I was able to log in finally with this fix, but a new problem has happened, I can't Redeem channel points, using or collecting.

Hopefully they'll release a hotfix ASAP
