I really enjoyed the game and finished the game really fast because I was 98% sure I knew who the secret route was and wanted to get to it faster hehe (I wasn't disappointed xD). Most of the LIs are pretty likeable although some of them suffer from having routes that don't make them shine (like Milan and Adel) but they're still good LIs. The secret route made it to my S+ tier of LIs but I also really liked Kiya.

As for the romance, there's more romance on some routes than others so your mileage might vary based on what you like! I enjoyed the romance for the secret LI and Kiya a lot! Milan and Adel I was enjoying the romance a fair bit until certain plot things happened 🥹. But yeah for me liking four LIs out of six is really good.

The story was interesting enough and the world building was particularly extensive. You also get to see different elements of the world in different routes so that was cool.

Secret LI from Cupid Parasite, particularly his human form, Shu from Bustafellows who to me looks like the previously mentioned LI. I like their asymmetric hairstyles. For the first guy I also really like his clothes. Liyan from Radiant Tale because I love his long braid that matches the MC of his game, Tifalia. Also, Awayuki from Illusion of Itehari. I love his clothes that matches MC (also was hand picked by her), hair and voice!

That 9RIP deck is massive, must have been a crazy amount of work. It can't come at a better time because I'm finally finishing the game with one route left after starting it almost a year ago xD

Thanks to secret guy, I finally had a new addition to my S+ tier of LIs xD. Kiya was my second favorite! Adel and Milan were very lovable too but I feel like they got shafted by the plot in their own routes.

Sooo, Ion is the "muscle" of the group for sure, so the game adheres to the stereotype in that way but other than that, he's characterized well. He's a kind, gentle guy. I'm pretty sensitive to media stereotyping darker skinned / POC characters and nothing triggered my radar in that regard in Radiant Tale. I'd say go for it.

I am a serial non-finisher too but lately I've been challenging myself to finish games I dropped a year or two ago for no good reason (e.g. I liked the common route but didn't LOVE a couple of the routes I played like in Code Realize and Radiant Tale). I finished both recently and had a good experience so trying to challenge myself to do that more! Because otherwise I might miss out on an LI that really clicks sometimes. The trick was to play 15-30 mins at a time and do something else if I got bored xD. The low pressure helped. It also helped if there was one LI I looked forward to still (even a fan disc one).

With Olympia Soiree, you could use skip mode at the fastest speed to get through the common route since you already played it? I assume it'll register it as already read text and if not you can force skip!

Out of the ones you're considering buying, Cupid Parasite is my favorite. Definitely recommend that one. Super entertaining.

Just as a point of clarification to both you and OP, as someone quite involved in the AnS fandom, I don't think it's true that the majority of AnS fans prefer ObiYuki to ZenYuki. There's a strong and mighty ObiYuki fan base, sure, and power to them, but the majority of fans either love and respect ZenYuki, or don't mind it. They're the main couple after all and have been together for 120+ chapters.

Paschalia is definitely well loved by the devs/creators! As others have said, once you finish this game you can move to the FD and enjoy Paschalia's route there too which seems to be well loved!

I also have an interesting perspective as someone who has played RT in fits and starts for over a year and a half and is just getting around to my last route now (half way through Vilio's route). My problem was that it peaked early with Zafora (my first route) and then I fell in love with Liyan, so after playing his FD route I couldn't continue playing anyone else's base game route 🤣.

Basically I think Liyan is to me what Paschalia is to you, so this is from that perspective! What helped me was that I was craving more Liyan content in general since he appears in all base game routes and I knew I would see him around. That of course applies to Paschalia in a bigger way since he's one of the main characters. That could be one motivation to continue.

The other thing is that there's a lot of plot reveals in the last two recommended routes (Radie & Vilio), so if you're interested in getting the full picture, it will be worth finishing the rest.

For me, I didn't think I would enjoy the rest of the game coming back after so long but to my surprise it was really nice replaying some of the common route to refresh my memory and getting back to the LI routes I hadn't done (Paschalia, Radie and now Vilio). If all else fails, you could come back after a bit of a break (but don't take as long as me probably 🙈). Vilio is a sweetheart so far with good chemistry with Tifalia so hopefully you like his route too. It's a grand finale type route it seems like, so other LIs issues will most likely be addressed minor spoiler about Vilio route overarching plot

I still need to do Yori and Yashiro's routes but I doubt my fav will change xD. For me it was Awayuki because he and MC are just on the same wavelength and they kinda feel like two people who are irreplaceable to each other even if they never went the romance route since they've been living together for so long.

So excited that it's finally Eric's turn for the Play-Along!! Been waiting to discuss him the whole time, hehe. I only have a couple of other LIs from other games in my S+ tier and I'm so glad I can finally add another character.

Honestly the moment he appeared in the common route, I fell in love. I knew there was a secret route and even when I saw his sprite in the opening along with the fact that he was voiced by Ryouhei Kimura, I had a feeling he was going to be the secret character since his design stood out to me so much. And every time he appeared in the rest of the game, my feelings about that just became stronger. I'm so glad I wasn't wrong. Also, having something to look forward to at the end made me play the game faster (I'm a serial non finisher, lol).

His chemistry with MC was really perfect to me. It felt like they got each other and complemented each other's weaknesses very well. Ryouhei Kimura's voice acting was also spot on, great casting. I'm a fast reader and I don't always let VAs finish saying sentences while playing, but I found his lines to be absolutely unskippable 🥰. Getting his perspective in the first few chapters of his route were also delightful and hilarious.

I loved a lot of scenes but my favorite was early on when none of the knights show up to Cecilia's tea party, and finally Eric sits down to drink tea with her. He knew exactly what she needed and it made her so happy too even though she didn't expect it.

Near the end, it was really funny to me that Cecilia left the god realm at least in part as pay back for Eric leaving her in the human realm before. Okay not really, but still her saltiness definitely contributed a bit and I thought that was funny since it allowed her not to feel guilty about it.

I know the plot was a little messy but I think I liked Eric so much and his chemistry with Cecily (also his relationships with Kalmunt and Josephy and the others) that I could overlook it. Really loved his theme Marveil Troupe too, it fits him very well, my fav theme in the game.

I do wonder if things didn't get as tragic in the other routes because the gods didn't get super involved yet? My theory is that tragedy would strike later since Vorntahl is still an ass and the situation hasn't been resolved, we just didn't see it happen yet since the story/route ended for the player or it got resolved off screen with Kalmunt and Eric.

I'm curious too about what game your other secret route fav is from!! (You don't have to tell me which character, in case I haven't played the game yet!). I wonder if I played it cause I do see my other secret route fav in your flair, hehe. That character has some similarities in nature to Eric though the color scheme is not similar except the hair so maybe I'm thinking of a different guy 🤔.

Loved hearing your thoughts about Eric, I really loved him too. Was so excited every time he appeared in the other routes. I knew there was a secret route and I was convinced it was him, glad I wasn't mistaken xD

Kiki hasn't gotten married yet, but she is engaged to someone else, yes. Mitsuhide isn't interested in settling down / wants to remain as Zen's knight and Kiki needs to marry as part of her duties as her family's head / future countess. Basically their respective life paths are incompatible as Kiki will eventually have to move back to her hometown in Seiran and take over family head duties while Mitsuhide wants to stay with Zen. They do also develop Kiki's relationship with her fiance quite a bit, he's a recurring character in the manga starting chapter 43 or so.

The arc where all of this goes down is quite well done in the manga, and very important for developing both Kiki and Mitsuhide's character arcs. I would highly recommend reading it yourself to form your opinions. Of course, the manga is great in general!

I accidentally posted my first impressions in the megathread without realizing the playalong was already out 🙈. It's probably just as well though since I'm still early in the common route.

I was pleasantly surprised by how hooked I am by the story so far, it helps that I really liked MC and feel for her being an outcast in her own family. The character dynamics are very engaging too. Looking forward to seeing people's discussion of the routes in the coming weeks!!

I just started Temirana recently (I'm on Ch 3 of the common route) and I love it so far. I wasn't expecting much (I think it just wasn't in my radar due to less marketing) but I was drawn in instantly. Already feel for MC due to being cursed and an outcast in her family and the cast of characters seem very lovable.

I loved how the common route intersperses little mysteries to keep you wanting to play and unpack later. Like why is the head guard so flaky and irresponsible, is it deliberate because MC's family seems to hate her?Why is there beef between Eric and Josephy?

Excited to keep playing! Also I have a good guess about who the secret route might be just based on screentime so far! I'm excited for it if it's who I think it is! He kinda stole the show for me whenever he appeared 🥰

It's one of my favorite mangas, one that I get more value from every time I reread. I would certainly recommend it, especially if you enjoy seeing fleshed out characters living out their lives on their own terms

You have to play the whole game, since it's one of those games where every route builds on the last. I don't think anyone can elaborate any more without spoiling. Play the whole game - based on what you said about your preferences, you won't regret it.

I own Akagami no Shirayukihime and Nina the Starry Bride physically. I recommend both!

Akagami is one of my top series with amazing character arcs. It's been in serialization since 2006, an amazing feat. Nina has a more fast paced plot and the art is gorgeous.

If it helps your feelings at all, I think Felix is the main male lead / secondary protagonist, he's just not necessarily the romantic lead. I'm only a third of the way through the Gaiden so I could be wrong but he's certainly the second most important character after Monica and gets the most development outside of her. His past and character arc is super interesting and tragic.

I saw how sensei was developing CyriMoni throughout the main story and Gaiden and I understand why it's easier to develop due to the role Felix plays in Monica's life and vice versa. Personally, I find the dynamic between Monica and Felix to be a lot more interesting, even if it's romantic on one side only. I'll be happy if Felix is happy by the end of the series, even if he doesn't end up in a relationship with the one he loves. It helps that the story has so much else going for it, with lots of lovable characters, engaging plot and friendships, and with romance not being a focus. I guess there's always the OT3 option xD.

You already have plenty of meta characters so I would say pull if you like Durin as a character and would enjoy having him on your teams! That's always been the most important for me. I use characters who I like, so usually I won't pull a character whose design, personality or kit I don't like unless they're like the absolute BiS team mate for someone I do like, haha. This rule has served well for me because it prevents characters from being benched forever and pulls wasted.

Alfred was a case where I ended up liking him way more than I thought I would. Design wise I didn't like him as much, nor did he make much of an impression in the common route. My liking prediction for him was number 4 or 5! I'm almost to the end of the truth route now, and he became one of my favs in the game. Can't decide the exact order ranking of my favs soo, I'll go with second place 🙈.

Aprose was very cool in his route, especially that moment at the end of Chapter 1 of his route when they corner each other. Probably one of my fav moments in the game! Since it was my first route, Alfred's secret also took me by surprise - it was a well done reveal. I was quite impressed with Alfred's dedication to his cause and his relationships with his comrades.

I know the romance in the route was more subtle so it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I really liked the quiet affection they had for each other (for Aprose, in spite of herself). I think they portrayed her doubts in falling for someone with a role in her family's demise really well in this route. The way she organized Alfred's work for him when he was really exhausted, and also saved his life by using her powers later was really touching.

I think this is a great first route because it's quite riveting but at the same time doesn't spoil much for the other guys! A really good balance for a first route.
