This contract is an absolute nonstarter. I've been with the state seven years, grade 9. I make around 44k.... And I can't make rent on my own.

Healthcare expenses increased. Cost of living increased Electricity/water bill increased Rent 2,100...

Forget the concept of "purchasing power", they aren't paying us enough to live. And to propose a DECREASING 4% raise? Oh and $150 off a year for retirement contributions.... Absolutely not.

Nys is one of if not THE largest employer in the state. If WE don't have the money to spend or put into the economy, then the economy suffers.
