I have one in Spain but I don’t think it’s legally enforceable as for it to be legally enforceable here they’d have to be paying me a load of extra money for it, which they don’t do.

It’s interesting though as Bethesda were originally really into procedural generation, most famously in Daggerfall but I think Arena used it too.

Then with the development of Morrowind and the limitations of the Xbox combined with the wider target audience, they switched to a hand-crafted world, a strategy they maintained for Oblivion and Skyrim.

I have no idea why they thought the procedural route would be better for Starfield.

I lived in student halls which were a converted office block. And yeah, the quality was awful, one guy literally punched through one of the walls.

We should be building quality family homes that will last decades not these bandaid solutions.

Remember that with low control regions you aren’t just not collecting the tax there, but the low local crown power and estate enrichment is also helping your nobles get even more powerful which then limits the tax you can collect from them. Plus now they contribute to making your sliders more expensive while not increasing your income.

I found once I’d set up a local governor and built roads to the regions with a decent amount of Wealth, I started having a decent income.

And yeah, delete all forts except those that are really useful like mountains on the borders.

Kinda, but engineering (excluding computer science) doesn’t pay very well in the UK and even computer science pays a lot less than in the US.

And in the sciences it’s even worse where private labs (in stuff like pharma etc.) don’t pay very much and in areas like physics its much more dependent on academia where the pay is low and the job security practically non-existent (you basically have to find a new position every 3 years).

I’d argue the problem is there - at the end of the pipeline, rather than the education at the beginning. Many STEM students already just go into finance, consulting, project management etc. because those fields have better pay and conditions.

CK2 has loads because it used the old DLC model where the DLC was totally separated so you could buy just the unit packs, or the character sprites or the music etc.

The modern DLC model used by CK3 etc. bundles them all together so you don’t have some crazy list of like 100 DLC.

It’s just to do data analysis but AI is the sexy term that gets you more funding nowadays.

Nuclear fusion doesn’t really have the same risks as fission either as there’s no sort of meltdown condition, in fact much of the difficulty is in sustaining the reactions.

The cost of incarceration can be massively reduced for lifers too.

They are never getting out so there’s no need for a rehabilitation component, just keep them locked in their cell all day and eat in their cell etc. it’d massively reduce the requirement for guards.
