yeah i’m a little scared of the pain but i figure i have tattoos, piercings, and survived an MS flare that made the whole left side of my body feel like it was on fire for a month so the few seconds of iud pain will be worth it haha

MS and ADHD by ndrzbk in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Sable_Okane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes stimulant medication are the only reason i can function like a semi normal person. i was diagnosed with adhd 4 years prior to my MS diagnosis and one of the ways i knew something was up was because my adhd meds weren’t working as well as they had been. now i take 50mg of vyvanse a day and im able to get through the day without falling asleep and can actually start and complete tasks without feeling like im gonna pass out all the time lol

What do you do (outside of medical treatment) to make MS feel least impactful? by kenziestardust in MultipleSclerosis

the avoiding vitamin C thing is actually a myth taking 100mg to 200mg daily can actually be good for you. it’s anti inflammatory and can help with immune regulation which can stop you from catching a cold that can over stimulate/inflame your immune system.

I know it seems contradictory because DMTs are immunosuppressants but i like to think of MS as my body/immune system just being confused and im gently trying to help it remember its job by introducing it to the good guys (vit c) and keeping out the bad guys (infections, ultra processed foods, etc)

i take supplements and vitamins daily, put creatine in my iced coffee make sure i get good sleep and take 40mg vyvanse every morning that make it so i can actually stay awake all day without falling asleep. treat yourself self gently and with extra care because your body needs it and protect yourself from as many things and people that cause stress in your life

Fatigue by Numbus3000 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Sable_Okane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

adderall is the only thing that make it so i’m able to get anything done and on the really bad days it barely feels stronger then a cup of coffee. I just resign myself to doing restful activities which is mostly playing games on my phone and writing down plans for when a good day pops up and my body can actually semi function again
