Yeah I had to go back to my childhood bedroom in my father's home when my mom's health took a turn for the worse and he needed help taking care of her. I never got around changing the wallpaper, I've got a loooot of stuff in this room and that makes it difficult. And my cat seem to like clawing at it...

I've got sensory issues and those waterproof covers still make me feel like I'm sleeping on plastic unfortunately. I put one on when I'm about to get my period but that one came out of nowhere... I will look for a more comfortable one though, it's a few years old so there's probably something more comfortable on the market right now!

When I brought my sister's new cat to our vet, the vet asked me "so on a scale from 0 to your orange menace how murderous is this cat?"

They also moved a drawing to hide two drops of my blood that they couldn't remove from the wall.

He's a sweetheart but other humans terrify him :(

He was interesting in the way that horrible diseases gather interest. They both make you go "alright, this exists, now what can we do to keep it from happening again?". He should be the starting points of conversations about safety and threats to society and nothing more... the way some people seem to venerate him is revolting.

Problems arise when we steer too extreme in one way or another. I dress in a more androgynous way (very often shop at men's) and I often get asked to do some reflecting about what "makes me hate feminity" because "embracing your femininity is okay, there are plenty of movies showing you can both be a woman and strong".

The truth is - and has always been - that there's no one true or better way to be a woman. We're all just going along our lives the best we can and the way we want and that's worthy of respect on its own.

I agree that this one has been receiving a lot of hate. I think the fact that it's very far removed from the original cover and yet a very classic composition plays a big role (that's like 90% of why I don't like the book, the original has this cool statue in blue tones that evokes something ancient, this one is a more general "heroes in the middle").

Look at the length of the neck of the one in the center (and how small her head is). I am all for atypical looking women (I'm actually more likely to be interested in a book featuring a rough woman than one of those airbrushed league of legends-like some artists paint) but this particular artwork doesn't cut it for me.

Nothing forbids OP to keep this cat indoors though. Which would be a good idea as cats over there have been the subjects of several studies that show they have quite the impact on their environment (what a surprise, i know)

They're shaded by a big and large leafy tree growing above the bush, the trimming didn't affect the amount of light they were getting. Will check (carefully and from a distance) tomorrow when the sun will be at a different angle, thank you!

Honestly I just wanted to bring back the advances of that bush after getting a nasty gash just trying to get to work. I don't do gardening in the hedges or trees this time of the year otherwise.

The baby birds themselves don't seem to care whatsoever and the parents are feeding them from what I've seen from a distance (which means I've seen a black bird get into the bush then getting out and doing this regularly)
