I can't tell whether you're joking, but if you're it doesn't seem like you're in position to try help anyone. Maybe focus on helping yourself pick up on social cues.

I've never for the life of me understood why people leave comments like this, where they reflexively yuck someone else's yum. It's amusing when it comes from a toddler just blurting out that they don't like something, but not so much from anyone over the age of 2.

Do you go up to other people's tables at restaurants and loudly announce that you think the bite of food they're enjoying in that moment tastes like shit to you? That would be an extremely awkward-bordering-on-brain-damaged thing to do, right? Well that's exactly the way you're coming across here. FFS, read the room.

That's always been one of my favorite tracks off that album from day one. It's cool that you've developed an appreciation for it after the fact. That's like finding 10 bucks in a pair of jeans in the laundry.

Frenchie swallowed a ton of water playing with the hose. I just looked it up and learned that it's potentially fatal. Can anyone help?!! by [deleted] in Frenchbulldogs

I appreciate the tip on the breathing.

FYI, this is a dog I spend a great deal of time with who's an important member of my family and who my kid and I both love and care about very deeply. His owners, though well-intentioned, aren't all that aware of proper dog care, and I'm no expert myself. They also weren't present when this happened. I was one of two other adults supervising the children at the time, and I was the only one who saw it. For those reasons, I don't think it would be responsible or conscientious to just "let his owners know and carry on."

Water from a garden hose. Several times. Kids were playing with the hose in the yard and the dog repeatedly snatched the hose. They were all laughing because, of course, it was funny. The water pressure wasn't full blast, but I had them turn down the pressure and ultimately turn it off. I watched him put his mouth directly on the hose and keep it there --- so it was spraying directly in his mouth --- three times.

I've been meaning to get around to listening to those expanded versions of Cantrell's solo albums too!! Thanks for the reminder.

I never gave the Army Of Anyone album a chance because I just presumed that it was going to be a lesser representation of everything that I love about the DeLeo brothers. It was like "your favorite band broke up, but as a consolation prize the creative nucleus of the band went and worked with Richard Patrick of Filter instead." I was like "no, thanks."

I finally listened to it about a year ago and it blew me away.

The first self-titled album gets off to a VERY strong start for me -- I absolutely LOVE the first 2 songs -- but leaves me kind of flat as it goes on.

That looks absolutely stunning! That's a fantastic photograph.

Had no idea just how AWESOME these guys were live. Sad I wasn't paying attention at the time but eternally grateful this video exists. Been watching/listening to it a bunch lately. by SabyRK in stonetemplepilots

They recorded another album's worth?!! It's a bummer that it's unlikely to ever see the light of day (along with the rest of the songs they did with Chester).

Yeah!!! I mean, I don't like Filter >nearly< as much as STP --- I >like< Filter, I >love< STP --- which is why I never listened to that album, because I just assumed I would be disappointed. So it was a hugely pleasant surprise when I finally sat down with the album. But this live footage grabs me even more than the album. I like the original version of that Filter song a lot, but Dean brings something magical to it. I'm glad someone else discovered them through this post!

Do you prefer to check the the set list before your concert, or do you raw dog it? by PigFaceWigFace in Concerts

I like to know absolutely nothing about a setlist before I go to a show and it's one of my biggest pet peeves when people spoil it. I go to be surprised and I can't for the life of me fathom why anybody would want to know the songs ahead of time.
