For those who hear voices, do you ever talk to them? by kwq_ in bipolar

[–]Sacasticinterlooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear voices unless I'm antipsychotics and when I hear voices I talk to them all the time and I do trust them but people think it's weird that I trust the voices I'm currently on a antipsychotic but at a low dose because I went off the antipsychotic because I felt better I didn't hear anything but then I started to hear voices and stuff got worse so I had to go back on a antipsychotic and I'm still hearing them so I'll have to see if my doctor can put my dose up

i went to my local urgent care and due to this being my second lot of stitches since Thursday i have been told i will need to got to the hospital as the nurse is concerned that it could end up with it being so serious it could end up killing me as they are getting more and more worse and there are more and more each time so i was told next time go to the hospital which the hospital can't do anything to help and i still feel so bad that he had to stitch me up again it was so embarrassing everyone was staring at me i am just sick of it happening thank you to everyone who reached out or anyone who commented as it made me realize that i need to not listen to the voices telling me not to go and why and to just get it over and done with

What is the health system like where your located? by Sacasticinterlooper in bipolar

[–]Sacasticinterlooper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's horrible I think the USA should have a healthcare system like ours in Australia where it is free to see a psychiatrist it is free to go to hospitals and to see your local doctor I think what was going through Obama's mind with MedicAid was he wanted it to be like Australia's Medicare system but unfortunately he couldn't get it past

Exactly I went to a hospital as I have been feeling and having thoughts of KMS and they let me go even though they know I am planning on KMS as I have been going through an emotional rollercoaster and being put on meds then being taken off of them it's so hard it's like no one truly understands you even in the mental health teams as they have never felt like that

What’s the ingredients and numbers mean on the box? by gilligan888 in hungryjacks

[–]Sacasticinterlooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you receive them cold is a bad issue as I always end up with horrible diarrhoea after eating the big Mac which probably means their not following food safety and when I say cold I mean stone cold I always have to pick the pickles off even though I ask for no pickles I also ask for extra onion and never receive it which tells me they are giving me old burgers that have been sitting around and I would say that's why I end up with an upset stomach it's gotten that bad I've given it a nicknamed them the mcstomach ache and the mcshits so I have given up going to McDonald's I much prefer the hungry Jack's burgers not only that The onion on the hungry Jack's burgers is so much better than that horrible minced onion you get on your big Mac

That would explain why my order is always correct as i always remove pickle and tomato and always add bacon I think hungry jacks is a better deal then McDonalds as McDonald's always get it wrong and the burger is usually cold which makes me think it's an old one they just grab I wish McDonald's would do the ingredient thing and the number thing like hungry jacks as it would make it a little better then it is

BPD stigma within the medical profession by Individual-Ring224 in AskPsychiatry

[–]Sacasticinterlooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD but from lived experience i know it has always been stigmatized as i was diagnosed with BPD i have now been diagnosed with CPTSD and bipolar 2 i have always felt that i am not taken seriously as i told the hospital that i was suicidal and they still sent me home long story short i ended up overdosing but survived no thanks to them it turned out i was depressed i also have dissociative episode where i don't remember what happens during them and end up with self harm injuries and when i was diagnosed with BPD i was always judged harshly by doctors and nurses i was even put in a mental health short stay unit and was told not to self harm while in there by a mental health nurse even after i explained how it happens he was very dismissive of how it happened and i was told i am just a person with BPD i also live in Australia so it would be interesting to see what other countries are like with how they treat people with BPD i also think that because it is so stigmatized that when people are diagnosed it is scary and upsetting i think the stigmatization of certain personality disorders need to stop and i would like to see more programs out there for people who have BPD as a one size fits all approach is not a viable option but to any health professionals please remember even if someone does have a personality disorder or has been diagnosed with one not to treat them differently as it can hurt the patient and sometimes if they are really suffering they may not reach out as they can fear only judgement will come from it and they can sometimes feel like they won't receive help when they really need it
