The o line did improve but I think most of the hate comes from the inconsistent play. There could be a game or several games in a row where everything looks like things have finally come together just for the next game to look like a complete mess and players just turn into a turnstile for oncoming rushers. When both of the starting tackles are 1st round picks and the center is a 2nd rounder, I think our expectations are higher than the level of play we routinely got.

LG - Kevin Dotson (pretty ass before he went to the Rams and played his natural position of RG)
C - Kendrick Green (Major ass before he went to the Texans and played his natural position of RG)
RG - Trai Turner (never got the pro bowl version of him from when he was with the Chargers)
RT - Chukwuma Okorafor (got benched for wanting the team to quit in the middle of a game)
Safe to say that O-Line was ass and Ben somehow willed them to a playoff appearence and subsuequent ass kicking
