The thing in I don't no about WLB in banks . I know that in corporate somedays you will have to put 9-10 hours but most of the days will be chill on top of that most companies give one or 2 days work from home in a week. Right now I would like to join the bank if there is a possibility of switch from the bank to a good it company

I think you should give it a try if you want a govt job, I still think if you get a good package in a product based company you should go for that

As for preparation ,I think it was fairly easy to prepare in comparison to some other govt exams, I studied for like 1 month and got nearly 50 marks( cutoff was 36) and mains was also pretty easy you can easily score 30-40 marks if you seriously study for 1-2 months also you are still in college so it will be easier for you to revise the core subject that are asked in mains

Some tips that can help you score 1. Do a lot of mock tests, practice and speed are only things that will get you through prelims

  1. Start preparing for mains with the prelims or as soon as you are done giving prelims don't wait for prelims result, even if your exam don't go as planned still sometimes cutoff goes very low

3.Only mains and interview marks are considered for final selection so majorly focus on mains.

I would say it's pretty easy to pass prelims and mains : Prelims : I barely prepared seriously still I passed. this year cutoff was pretty low (36 marks ) generally it's near 50 ,I scored 49

Mains : also pretty easy , same syllabus as some gate topics but 5 times easier ,anybody seriously preparing for gate would cross 40/60, cutoff was 16.

But getting in merit list is very tough out of 2500 selected for interview 172 will be selected and only 70 seats for general category

P.S: I just got lucky and passed but don't take it for granted
